Candidates desiring to recheck the answer script relating to the Written Test held for selection to the post may applyfor rechecking within 45 days from the date of approval of the Ranked List.

“Applications for rechecking of answer scripts should be submitted in the prescribed form available free of cost fromthe Enquiry Sections of the various offices of the Commission or its photocopy or downloaded and printed in A4 sizepaper from the Commission’s Website: www.keralapsc.org or photocopied there from. The following list contains the names of candidates found suitable on the basis of the result of the Objective Type(OMR Valuation) Test held on 1-10-2009 and the verification of original documents of the candidates included in theProbability List published on 4-10-2011 for selection to the post of Binder Gr. II in Various Departments in Kollam District(Category No. 264/2007) notified in the Gazette dated 14-8-2007 on 2750-4625 (PR) arranged in the order of merit.

The Ranked List is brought into force with effect from 26-6-2012. The Ranked List will be in force till thepublication of a new Ranked List after the expiry of a minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three yearswhichever is earlier. Candidates from the list will be advised for appointment in accordance with the rules and ordersregarding reservation and rotation as amended from time to time, if applicable, against vacancies reported to theCommission during the pendency of the list. As the advice for appointment depends on the occurrence of vacancies,there is no guarantee that all candidates included in the list will secure appointment. The candidates remaining in the listat the time of cancellation will have no claim at all, for appointments on the basis of the inclusion of their namesin the list.

According to the existing procedure, re-valuation of answer scripts is not allowed. But answer scripts will berechecked to see that all the answers are valued and that there is no mistake in the totaling of marks for various answersif the candidates apply for rechecking, remitting the prescribed fee of 50 (Rupees fifty only) in any one of theTreasuries in the State under the Head of Account “0051 PSC 105 State PSC 99 Examination Fee”.

Applications for rechecking of answer scripts should be submitted in the prescribed form available free of cost fromthe enquiry sections of the various offices of the Commission or its photocopy or downloaded and printed in A4 sizepaper from the Commission’s website www.keralapsc.org or photocopied therefrom. Applications submitted in any othermanner will not be considered. The application for rechecking along with the original chalan receipt should reach theDistrict Officer, Kerala Public Service Commission District Office, Kollam within 45 days from the date of publication ofthe Ranked List has come into force (i.e. the date on which the Ranked List has been approved by the Commission).Application for rechecking received after the prescribed time limit or not in the prescribed form will not be entertained.The fee once remitted will not be refunded on any account. In the case of candidates who sent applications forrechecking in the prescribed form within the prescribed time limit enclosing original chalan receipt as stated above, themarks awarded will be rechecked and the result of the rechecking will be intimated to the candidates from this office.Applications for rechecking received from candidates whose answer scripts have been invalidated will not be considered.

Candidates who wish to obtain a photocopy of their OMR answer sheet (Part A & B) relating to this selection shallremit a fee of 200 by way of chalan in any of the Treasuries in the State under the Head of Account 0051-PSC-800-Other receipts-99 Other receipts. The duly filled up application in the prescribed form (available on the Commission’sWebsite www.keralapsc.org) along with the original chalan should be submitted to the District Officer, KPSC District Office,Kollam within 45 days from the date of on which of the Ranked List has come into force. A copy of the answer sheet willbe issued only once to a candidate. Copies of OMR sheet invalidated due to any defect will not be issued. Candidatesare prohibited from applying for a copy of answer sheet which is not their own and legal proceedings will be initiatedagainst those who do so.

The last date for the receipt of applications for rechecking/obtaining Photocopy of the answer scripts is 10-8-2012.Application for rechecking/obtaining Photocopy, received after the prescribed time limit and not in the prescribed formwill not be entertained.

Entries put in column 4 (community) are based on the communities specified by the candidates in their applicationforms and proved by them with necessary documents. The candidates whose communities have not been correctly notedin the list as proved by them in their application should intimate the fact to the District Officer, Kerala Public ServiceCommission District Office, Kollam within 1 (one) month from the date of publication of the Ranked List to get thebenefit of reservation to which they are entitled to. Note:— (1) Inclusion of Register Numbers in this list ispurely provisional subject to the scrutinyand admission of applications on absolutebasis. Inclusion of Register Numbers in theShort List does not confer any right on thecandidate to be called for Interview or forsubsequent inclusion in the Ranked List.

(2) The Short List is prepared based on thedetails furnished by the candidate in theapplication and subsequent claims madewill not be entertained at any stage.

(3) The candidates whose Register Numbers areincluded in the Short List are directed to sendself attested copies of documets to provetheir claims made in the applications, i.e.,Qualification, Date of Birth, Community andother benefits if any to which they are entitledto the District Officer, Kerala Public ServiceCommission District Office, Palakkad within 15days from the date of publication of thisnotification. The Register Numbers of thosecandidates who do not produce the requireddocuments within the prescribed time limitand whose applications are found otherwisedefective will be deleted from the Short Listwithout further notice.


(4) The candidates who have secured 55 (fiftyfive) marks and above are included in theMain List of the Short List. The requiredmarks have been lowered to the extentnecessary in respect of the SupplementaryLists.

(5) The candidates belonging to Other BackwardClasses included in the Short List who arerequired to produce Non Creamy LayerCertificate as per G. O. (P) No. 117/2008/SC/STDD dated 19-12-2008 shall produce thesame along with other documents mentionedabove or as and when called for. Suchcandidates in the Main List who fail toproduce the required Non-Cremy LayerCertificate will not be entitled to the benefit ofCommunity reservation and will be consideredas Open Competition candidates. As regardto such candidates in the Supplementary Lists

of Other Backward Classes, their RegisterNumbers will be deleted from the Short Listwithout further notice, if they fail to producethe Non-Creamy Layer Certificate.

(6) The place, date and time of interview will beintimated in due course.

(7) Register numbers of candidates whoseanswer scripts have been invalidated due tovarious reasons are provided in thenotification appended.

(8) According to the existing procedure,revaluation of answer scripts is not allowed.But candidates can apply for rechecking oftheir answer scripts only after publication ofthe Ranked List. The details will be publishedalong with the Ranked List.
