Need to know before you go…• What is the climate in Kenya during the trip? In August, the temperatures drop to the low

50’s(degrees F).• What to wear? Long sleeve shirt, long pants and a light jacket. • What languages will you hear? English and Swahili.• What types of food will you eat? Fresh vegetables, fruits and meats. Common vegetables include

kale, spinach, cabbage, tomatoes, beans, potatoes, avocados and other leafy greens. Beef and goat meat are common meats served. Mangoes, oranges, pineapples, bananas, and pears are common fruits of choice.

• What culture and customs should you know before the visit? Dining Etiquette: Wash hands before and after your meal. Do not begin eating until the eldest male has been served and started eating. Greetings: Handshakes are the most common form of greetings. To rush a greeting is extremely rude.

Day 1: Nairobi National Park. This park is a successful rhino sanctuary, and you can see migrating zebras and wildebeests.Day 2: Mount Kilimanjaro. Beautiful views, and it is the highest mountain in Africa

Day 3: Mombasa. Second largest city in Kenya.

4 Day 4: Malinda. You can do many water sports including surfing, snorkeling, and deep-sea fishing.

5 Day 5: Lamu Island. It is the oldest living town in Kenya, with beautiful beaches.

6 Day 6: Meru; Lewa Wildlife Conservatory. You can enjoy a safari on foot, on the back of a camel, or in a safari vehicle.

7 Day 7: Mount Kenya. Offers hiking, the second largest mountain in Africa.
