● Students should use same contractual rules as used during school day
● School use only - not for personal use● Students should use their first name or initials(not

appropriately raising hand during session● Parents should check in - both on cell phones and
on other technology usage

Online completion of some independent work for 2nd - 6th grades. 3rd through 6th were already using Google Classroom in school prior to DL.

Academic ExpectationsWe would like all students to participate in weekly learning opportunities as much as possible, understanding this may be difficult at times for families.

Each grade level has designed activities that are in two categories. These are based on essential standards.We have worked to streamline links for parents and students.

completed on a daily/weekly basis.
May Do● Additional activities that will reinforce review and new
concepts taught
Fridays
Students: Independent or collaborative work completed by students. Instructional Staff: Dedicated Planning Time● Check-in time for administrators and other needed staff ● Individual, grade level and content team planning within
school or across division. Time to record, create and post assignments and presentations.

Elementary- no virtual instruction on Fridays
Supporting Students AAP students in 3rd - 6thContent will continue to be differentiated in line with AAP standards of learning.
504s, English Language Learners and Students with Disabilities● Special education case managers, related service providers (for students with IEPs) and
guidance counselors (for students with 504 Plans) will be contacting parents to discuss Temporary Learning Plans and end of year IEPs.
● ESOL teachers will contact parents of all students who are English learners to discuss resources and support
● Services will not look the same as those delivered when we were in school
● Reading specialists and others will be reaching out as well with supports.
Attendance and Grading
Attendance - We want to make sure students are taking part as much as possible. Teachers will reach out to check in if students are not participating. We want to support all students!
Grading - Teachers will provide feedback on student work. No grades will be given for 4th quarter work. Third quarter grades in progress.
Distance Learning
● No substitute for daily in-person instructional
programs
● Will not replicate the normal school day
● If too much - let us know - do what you can!
● We are committed to partnering with our families
and community to make the best possible
learning experiences under our current
circumstances of forced separation.
