My  best  moment  of  cheerleading  is  my  very  first  SMS  football  game.  It  was  so  exciting  to  be  on  the  track  cheering  for  my  school.

Advice for younger student-athletes…

Always  listen  to  your  coach  because  they  know  what’s  best  for  you  and  always  go  above  and  beyond!

Coach Mills Says: Sarah is the perfect Sutton Cheerleader. Sarah's energy, positive attitude and cheer spirit is inspiring and most contagious! Sarah displays awesome cheer skill, incredible spirit and is an ultimate on and off the court representative for Sutton Middle School!!

Advice for younger student-athletes…

Hard  work  pays  off.

Coach Harris Says: Julian represents what it means to work hard. He is one of the hardest working players on the team, and does not let anything get in his way. He is one of, if not, the best shooters on the Cougar basketball team. Julian sets a great example for the team on and off the court.

My  first  touchdown

Advice for younger student-athletes…

To  never  give  up

Coach Sewell Says: Despite this being his second year playing, he is a two-year starter for the Cougars, and this year plays both Offense and Defense, as well as being the Kicker. Lorenzo scored the Cougars’ first touchdown of the season versus Harper-Archer, and also kicked a Touchback during the game against Kipp Academy. In addition to being a wonderful athlete, he is also a great teammate and student. Keep it up Lorenzo!

My  best  moment  was  at  the  beginning  of  football  cheerleading  this  year  because  it  was  fun  teaching  all  of  the  new  cheerleaders  the  cheers  and  bonding  with  everyone  and  becoming  their  friend  and  leader.

Advice for younger student-athletes…

Younger  student  athletes  should  cherish  their  coaches  because  they  help  you  achieve  your  goals  and  even  if  they  push  you  harder  than  you  want,  they  know  what  they’re  doing  and  you’ll  thank  them  in  the  end.

Coach Mills Says: Amelia is ALWAYS teaching, encouraging and polishing us up to look our best. Amelia has become an awesome leader and cheer captain for the Sutton Football Cheer Squad! Thank you Amelia!!!!

games  like  Settlers  or  Catan.  I admire… There  have  been  many  people  in  my  life  who  have  contributed  to  my

development-‐one  being  Mrs.  Tate.  She  was  my  math  teacher  last  year.  She  really  inspired  me  to  be  a  math  teacher.  Mrs.  Tate  gave  me  student  friendly  notes,  admitted  her  own  mistakes,  and  challenged  me.  Her  teaching  made  me  want  to  change  students’  lives  just  as  she  did.

Best Moment Playing for SMS…

Just  going  to  practice  every  day  and  becoming  close  with  my  team.  It  was  a  great  experience.

Advice for younger student-athletes…

Time  is  precious,  so  use  it  wisely.

Coaches Connor and Kearns Say: Jenna Campbell shows integrity on and off the volleyball court. She is an excellent student and athlete. She is a model for others to follow because she knows how to balance academics and athletics!
