Dear Parents/Carers, I hope that you and your child had a wonderful half term and managed to do some exciting things together. It was really good to see the children on Tuesday after their break.

3GT Assembly

The whole school enjoyed 3GT’s class assembly this morning with a very imaginative and creative spooky story. The children told a tale of what happens when you are rude to other people and in this case the other per-son was a witch. The witch got her revenge by turning all of the teachers into a variety of monsters. I was a vampire! The children seem very confi-dent on stage and finished the assembly with a dance routine to the tune of Ghostbusters. It brought a smile to everyone's face.

Sports Day Sports day was a real success on Tuesday and I apologise for the late no-tice but we were waiting for a weather forecast over the half term holi-day. The children really excelled themselves in terms of their behaviour and their sportsmanship. There were lots of smiles during the day and even if their team did not win, they all had a good time running around. I hope that they slept well on Tuesday evening after their exhausting sports day. A huge thank you to Mrs Maran and Mr Kelly who organised the whole event. The final scores were: 4th place Red team with 747 points 3rd place Yellow team with 756 points 2nd place Blue team with 806 points 1st place Green Team with 810 points. Please note that there were only four Points separating first and second place. A huge thank you to the parents that managed to come along and support the event.

Christmas Winter Fair Our Christmas Winter Fair is being held on Saturday 30th November between 12 and 4 p.m. There will be lots of exciting things for the children to do including visiting Santa Claus if you have pre-booked tickets. There will be a bouncy castle, arts and crafts, tombo-la, and various bits of food. The entrance cost is £1 and children go free. Do come along and support us and join the fun. Visit Santa tickets are available from the school of-fice until Friday 1st November.

Christmas Pantomime

This year we are going to see the Christmas pantomime at the Watersmeet Thea-tre on Thursday 12th December. We try to do a pantomime trip every 2-years and for some of the children it is the first time that they have ever been in a theatre. The show this year is Peter Pan and generally we take over the whole of the thea-tre so it's like a show just for our children. The cost this year is £10. This is only for the price of the theatre ticket as the school will cover the cost of transport to and from the theatre. You will be sent a ParentMail in the near future asking for your contribution.

Joke of the Week!

What does a house wear. A dress!

Year 5 Residential Trip (when they are in Year 6) Tomorrow, (Friday), I will speak to current Year 5 pupils about the Residential School Journey when the children start Year 6.

We will also send out a ParentMail with the opportunity to sign up for the trip. Next Wednesday, 6th November I will hold a short parents meeting in the Junior School hall at 6:00pm for parents to find out more information.

If you would like to come to this meeting please could you email the office on [email protected] to let us know that you are coming so that we can organise seating.

School Council Elections The children will be voting tomorrow for their School Council representatives. Each class votes in two people to the school council. They meet every few weeks to discuss their ideas of how to make the school a better place. I wonder if we have any future Boris Johnson or Jeremy Corbins in the pupil population.

ADHD & Autism Support

There is a great organisation in Harrow called "Centre for ADHD & Autism support" .Mrs Maloney is hoping to organise a coffee morning in the near future for parents to meet their team and chat through any worries you have about ADHD or Autism. Their flyer is attached and Mrs Maloney can send a full list of their services if you just let the of-fice know. They do great work with adults who have ASD or ADHD as well as children.

If you have any thoughts or questions please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Maloney.
