This website provides easy recipes and ingredients of authentic Korean side dishes when they are fresh in their own season. Not only the food but the Korean culture is introduced through this website. The transparent e�ects and calm muted colors reference the traditional Korean silk and cloths, while viewers can easily approach and experience Korean culture.

The Earth Shakes Category: Motion graphics

Year: 2019

The Haiku, The Earth Shakes by Steve San�eld is transformed with dynamic motions and interactions of typeface with abstract shapes. Each word is expressed through movements and sounds. Repetitive lines and words display a sense of urgency and calamity with e�ects of trembling and alarming sounds.

A series of grid studies that explores three types of grid system: manuscript, modular and deconstructive. The dynamic use of Korean letters plays along with grid structures convey a sense of consistency and structure, showing alignment and balance with their distinctive combinations of lines and circles. The Korean alphabet presents simplicity in their form and shapes that simulates the structure in each studies of grids.

A collaborated zine created to add urgency to improve our environment with sustainable design. Vector shapes and lines were expressed with continuity and to easily inform others about sustainability. In addition, recycle papers were used to demon-strate the use of renewable resource along with U-Haul cardboard that was implemented as a cover.

Rainforest Action Network maintains the vision of protecting the rainforest and the human rights of the indigenous people. To fully support the indigenous people, organic and brush textural elements are used throughout the book. Hand painted patterns of lines and dots were expressed throughout to demonstrates their cultural and indigenous patterns. A sense of personal identity of the indigenous is shown with the approach of illustrating brush stroke patterns, hand sitch binding and the bright, earth tone colors.

It is a book that assem-bles with short creative narratives of 21 stories and 21 designers of di�erent background and cultures with di�erent approach and experi-ence during their senior trip at Rockport, Texas. Each page shows black and white and high contrast images symbolizing each of the designer’s experience at Rockport.

The typeface was designed implementing the distinctive mechanical structure and shapes of the cinematograph projector.
