Convincing and effective: Thanks to the combination of emco aluminium mats with different inserts and the slimline emco clean-off floor coverings, the 3-zone cleaning system protects buildings from almost any type of soiling, simply by being walked on. In zone 1, emco entrance mats with a rubber insert and / or a cassette brush collect coarse dirt. Zone 2 scrapes off fine dirt using the emco rib insert, and zone 3 reduces mois-ture. emco always provides the best possible system combi-nation with a wide range of products and outstanding quali-ty.

The functional inserts pro-vide efficient long-term dirt removal, since the dirt is collected in the gaps and moisture is absorbed.

The mats can be rolled up, allowing dirt to be removed from the matwell with the utmost ease.

Thanks to the wide range of system components (profile and insert variants) the entrance mat can be individually configured, therefore providing maximum functionality and effectiveness. The deployment location and the type of dirt that occurs define the type of inserts, which are

available in different installation heights and material thicknesses. The profile and the insert are combined ac-cordingly and manufactured exactly in accordance with specifications from the planning. A modular system that provides a suitable solution for any requirement.

Weatherproof & hard-wearing

The wide range of DIPLOMAT, MARSCHALL, GS517 and RA-DIAL entrance mats provides the right solution for any requirement – for heavily frequented buildings, extreme weather situations and areas that have special aesthetic appeal.

In zone 1, hard-wearing rubber inserts ensure that coarse dirt is collected, optionally in combination with brush strips, cassette brushes and scraper edges. The roll-up mats are slip resistant in accordance with DIN 51130.

Effective and cleaning-friendly

In zone 2 the DIPLOMAT, MARSCHALL, RADIAL, GS517 and SENATOR in-serts provide clean indoor areas and a harmonious overall impression. Here, fine dirt is collected using ribbed carpet inserts, possibly com-bined with rubber inserts, textile brushes or brush strips. The inserts can be replaced with the utmost ease.

Around 80% of the dirt in a building is tracked in from outside, before being spread across a large area by indoor traffic. For stone coverings, this results in cracks, stains and dulled colours; textile coverings also lose their colour intensity and experience a reduction in the quality of their material. In turn, this leads to premature deterioration of the floor coverings.

emco clean-off systems counteract these problems in zone 3 by absorbing a high proportion of the residual and damp dirt right at the entrance area, therefore providing protection for the ad-jacent floor coverings. The sound-absorbing effect also creates a relaxing, pleasant atmosphere. In addition to this, emco clean off systems effectively prevent the risk of slipping caused by moisture and dirt in entrance areas and the associated cost of accidents. Hygiene conditions in heavily frequented areas are significantly improved.

The emco 500 mats consist of angled profiles with mitred cor-ners. The sturdy gusset plates supplied ensure a screw connec-tion that is true to size. The scope of delivery includes wall an-chors; stainless steel versions for use in damp areas are available as an option. The frame is supplied either ready for assembly or pre-assembled (e.g. in the case of frames with curved sections or several sections, etc.).

emco Lumina / emco Lumina Via set the scene in any entrance area. These illuminated frame systems for indoor and outdoor use are easy to install and are equipped with watertight, im-pact-proof LED strips which are extremely energy-saving and have a long service life. emco Lumina makes an impression with dots of light, whereas Lumina Via upgrades the mat with a continuous illuminated edge with colour changing facility.

emco dirt collection wells (for MARSCHALL) made from alumin-ium (AlMg 1) or stainless steel (V2A) for collecting larger quanti-ties of dirt in heavily frequented entrance areas. The wells are bonded and watertight and have completely smooth interiors for easy cleaning. The scope of delivery includes a welded wall anchor; emco drainage systems are optionally available. Sev-eral wells can be built up to form a modular dirt removal well unit.

With its gradient, the emco ramp edge (with profiled tread sur-face made from aluminium) guarantees stumble-free access onto the mat.. For emco DIPLOMAT entrance mats (heights 10, 17 and 22 mm) that are mounted on finished floors at ground level.

emco entrance mats are constructed in such a way that the majority of the dirt falls onto the matwell. Cleaning is nev-ertheless necessary, depending on the amount of use and the time of year.

General cleaning:A powerful brush vacuum cleaner should be used for daily cleaning of emco entrance mats with ribbed carpet inserts. The brushing action during vacuuming makes the fibres stand up again and allows the dirt to be sucked out of the gaps in the ribbed carpet insert. (1)

Intermediate cleaningAfter vacuuming the emco entrance mats should be rolled up and the matwell swept clean with a broom. (2)

Thorough cleaning:After vacuuming and cleaning the mat well, the mat can be hosed down with a high-pressure cleaner. After being hung up to dry for a short period, the mat can be returned to serv-ice. Cleaning using a standard industrial cleaning machine is also possible. (3)
