BIOCON I

▼ BIOCONsystems are functioning completely au-

tomatically without any person’s supervision, any

malfunction is indicated and signalled according-

ly and are very simple in maintenance.

mal wear as they are constructed totally from

stainless steel 316, even the pumps (casing and

impeller) that consist the solely moving parts

A specially designed macerator-homogenizer,

manufactured from bronze and SS 316

▼ Driven by a high degree of automated sequence

PLC permits operation monitoring and alarm sig-

nalling to the ships Controls rooms.

▼ Video terminal screen on the panel permits the

visualization and adjustment of important param-

eters according to every ships particular arrange-

ment.

▼ Over three times smaller volume than competitive

products!!! Their weight and dimensions are small

enough to be transferred through openings and

installed in restricted spaces of new or already ex-

isted ships. For this purpose they can be easily di-

vided in two major parts, the treatment tank and

the support frame with pumps included.

▼ Reliable effluent results independent of load vari-

ations, during all consecutive operation cycles.

chemical process in marine

vessels. Its operation is based

on a physicochemical process

under the oxygen presence

for the oxidation of the organ-

ic substances, microfiltration,

and the bacteria disinfection

through the action of Chlo-

rine in the form of sodium

hypochlorite.

The quality of effluent upon

the process completion is al-

ways suitable for discharge

overboard due to optimised

process and micro filtering

according to the strictest leg-

islation that is valid internationally and especially the latest IMO Resolution MEPC. 159(55).

BIOCON systems have been approved by DNV (Det Norske Veritas) and tested according to IMO and found to

satisfy all specifications well below all relative limits. BIOCON systems are certified according to the Council Di-

rective 96/98/EC on Marine equipment.
