Dear Brother Knights and Family, July and August have quickly passed and we are coming into football season. This brings many great opportunities for Brotherhood. As the weather cools off, remem-ber to watch for children going back to school and enjoy the upcoming events. Thanks for all the help at Bingo and especially all the hard work that the Bingo Man-agers do to make it successful. We’ve seen an increase in the numbers at Bingo and I think it can be attributed to all the planning and hard work that they do. And con-gratulations to our Knight of the Month for August 2013 - PGK Ed Lambe. It is well deserved for all the time and effort that he puts into making the council great. There
are a lot of events happening in September so keep your eye on the council calendar and help out when you can. Keep in your prayers: Fr McGivney, our troops, and all the sick and/or in distress Brothers and family. Go to Mass and pray the Rosary often. able at the bar.
K of C Football Frenzy 2013 The 2013 Football Frenzy tickets are here. Each

get assigned 4 teams for each week from Octo-
ber 27th - December 29
th. You are eligible to win
each and every week. You will win if your teams
score the combined highest 1st through 7
th places
or the lowest and second lowest places. Checks
for winning tickets get mailed out weekly. All you
have to do is purchase a ticket and fill out the
stub; if you win, a check will show up in the mail.
Doughnuts after Mass There will be a recruiting/social event on Oct 6
th
after the 9am mass in the parish offices. The

LOTKA News Our first meeting for this year will be at 7pm on Thursday, Sept 5
th. We always welcome new
members. You are strongly requested to bring at least one idea or topic you want to know more
about in the coming year. EVERYONE is asked to think of something or someone you would like
to visit our group. There are 7 months that we need to have a speaker and/or topic for and it is
much easier if you all participate in this. I will bring snacks for that night and we will have a list for all to decide which month you want to cover.
Don’t forget about the annual Labor Day picnic at
the club. Good chance to meet our new Grand Knight, Pat Nash and see some of your friends
from the council.
Thanks, Laura Reese
