Safety Observation Process

• We will use a proactive approach to increasing safety awareness in the KC

woodworkers’ guild shop.

• Each member is encouraged to provide ongoing, two-way performance

feedback. Every member should provide positive and constructive feedbackto each member.

• The observation and feedback process provides visibility and control over

the activities in the guild wood shop by calling attention to safe and unsafeacts.

What if I forget the safety rules?• Our objective is to have a safe and fun shop, but we do have

consequences for repeated unsafe behaviors.

• You will be warned, but repeated disregard of any safety rule willcause the loss of your shop privileges.

• The green name tag will be pulled

• A member will lose privileges of the use of the whole shop for

repeated safety violations.

• The safety committee reviews the reasons and circumstances of

the loss of shop privileges to determine if or when the members shopprivileges can be reinstated.
