SKILLS & ABILITIES

CommunicationStrong communication skills have been required with each position I have held:

ArchaeoPhysica was the first position held following university in an industry specific role, it was crucial that my understanding of the set tasks was both prompt and accurate in order to provide the end clients with the best possible result.

Appropriate communication was essential while working with Aspect Clinical during explanation of the studies undertaken and while obtaining informed consent from participants.

Good communication was required while undertaking game drives to ensure guests received the most from their experience regardless of language or age group.

These skills have been further developed through group work and presentation assignments associated with my degree course at Plymouth University. Development of these skills has taught me the value of tact and diplomacy as well as a degree of assertiveness.

TeamworkDevelopment of this skill has allowed me to realise the importance of remaining professional and supportive.

Field surveying can deliver conditions that can slow the data capture process, it was important that the whole team worked towards completing the survey to a high standard within the set time parameters.

Whilst working at Aspect Clinical it was crucial that all members of the team pulled together to guarantee all participants were safeguarded and that the results obtained were at the highest standard and in accordance with governmental guidelines.

Problem Solving and Flexibility Geophysical projects can be associated with a plethora of involved parties and can therefore be

cancelled or initiated at short notice, it was important to be flexible to undertake all projects in a timely manner.

During the research project for the final year of my course, I mapped the geological east coast of Plymouth Sound, Devon. This lead to the subsequent geological analyses.

The undertaking of this project has afforded me to develop the ability to pick up ideas quickly, approach problems logically and operate to a high standard of accuracy.

Initiative and Self-Motivation

Page 2: KC CV 13062015

The research project was entirely autonomous; therefore self-reliance was necessary to complete the project within the deadline.

I self –funded my relocation to South Africa. The endpoint was extremely gratifying in the knowledge that I had organised and financed such a venture independently.
