ASM uses geo-tags via Google Maps, allowing editors to share stories broadly by region or state or create collections to bundle to regional editors. While stories are released to partners via their wire services, Bundles allow stories to be re-pitched at a later time, as News21 stories are timeless features that deserve consideration long after they move on the wires.

Explore and Explore & Compare Pages

ASM delivers elements to the Innovation blog, where tagging for “Explore” allows for a collection of stories worthy of study but not published by partners. When a story is used by a partner, the headline is adjusted and screengrabs inserted for side-by-side comparison and to encourage discussion on presentation.

This collection is of Maryland’s content, of possible interest to editors around the Bay area. An editor enticed to a story can see the summary and related assets (as icons) and click through to access the text and photos for use under Creative Commons.
