Great Lakes Industrial Technology Summit
Defining GLITS
Trade Show - an event in which goods and services in a specific industry are exhibited and demonstrated
Exposition - a public exhibition or show, as of artistic or industrial developments; a formal meeting of members, representatives, or delegates, as of a political party, fraternal society, profession, or industry
Summit - A conference or meeting of high-level leaders, usually called to shape a program of action
History
An event for the diversified manufacturing community
Over twenty years ago it started as the Industrial Expo to showcase products to the community that were made in the region
Has progressed into a premier trade show for companies to meet with prospective buyers and suppliers, as well as provides a bridge between the region’s workforce and industry seeking skilled workers

The BCC was just opened in the summer of 2007, as an exhibitor you will be provided with the newest facilities, advanced infrastructure and top-of-the-line service
While attending or exhibiting the Great Lakes Industrial Technology Summit parking is free if needed there is additional parking on State Street along the pier and west
of the Convention Center at the Park and Ride.

The Balmer scholarship, given in the junior year of a 4-year program goes to 5 students every year with a total of $100,000 awarded in the last 10 years
