KAYAK SAFETY TRAINING is training is designed to teach you how to stay safe while sea kayaking in Alaska. is is an introductory course, all abilities welcome. We cover cold water safety, proper clothing and gear, weather conditions, entering and exiting your kayak, and the assisted kayak rescue. Upon successful completion of this training, you will able to rent sea kayaks from OAP. A requirement for all individual kayak rentals. For more information on class dates, pick up a copy of our Outdoor Adventure Guide! To reserve your spot or for more information please call 552-2023 or stop by Bldg. 7301. Cost: $35 per person (receive $20 off your first kayak trip) Time: 6 - 8 p.m. Meet: Elmendorf Fitness Center Pool, Bldg. 9510 Age limit: 14 yrs. & up Personal Gear Checklist: • Swim suit • Towel • Quick drying short/long sleeve shirt Gear Provided: • Kayak • Paddle • Spray-skirt • Personal Flotation Device Cancellation Policy Cancellations and/or changes to an existing reservation must be made at least (3) days prior to the scheduled reservation for a 50% refund. Cancellations and/or changes within 3 days of pending reservation will forfeit all monies paid and receive no refund. e only exceptions to the cancellations policy is emergency military duty with written documentation from your supervisor or a written doctor’s note.
