Implemented an innovative marketing strategy including: networking events, live

music, cookery classes, annual pop up Christmas retail store in Southgate, food

festivals.

FOUNDER & DIRECTOR, LAHLOO TEA, UK - MAY 2007 - MAY 2013Combining retail and hospitality experience with passion for tea, I took the plunge,

having spotted a gap in the market for gourmet tea, and launched the Lahloo brand.

Through hard work, creativity, determination and non-stop drive to succeed, I grew

the business on a shoestring from a farmer’s market to a 12 person strong wholesale,

online retail and a bricks and mortar business turning over in excess of £250,000 per

annum.

Utilising my experience as a restaurateur and retailer, I developed an innovative

foodservice strategy. With this customer focused and profitable offering, we gained a

loyal customer base of hotels, restaurants, cafes and retailers. This was key to Lahloo’s

success.

The business changed shape with the 2011 opening of Lahloo Pantry, a concept tea

store and cafe serving 34 teas in its own unique way alongside freshly in-store baked

brunch, lunch and afternoon patisserie.

My focus for Lahloo was to build a profitable business recognised for it’s quality of

product, integrity, passionate people and customer service.

Named as The Telegraph on Sunday’s ‘One to Watch’, I achieved it recruiting the right

people, developing a comprehensive training program focusing on product

knowledge, customer service and retail principles.

TEAM LEADER, WHOLEFOODS MARKET (WWW.WHOLEFOODSMARKET.COM), UK - DEC 2005-APR 2008As one of 6 Team Leader’s making up this multi-national organic food store

management team, led a team of 14 Customer Services team members.

Through motivating, leading by example and demonstrating enthusiasm for the brand,

developed an award-winning team renowned for outstanding customer service.

Increased POS sales and contributed to the overall look and feel of the store through

the development of a POS merchandising system and improved customer flow.
