PRODUCT GUIDE 2010

Page 2: Katalog Unifiber 2010

Welcome to the Unifiber 2010 Range presentation. Before we take a look we’d like to say a massive

thanks to all our dealers and distributors who’ve chosen to represent the brand in their respective

stores and territories. After some intense effort we’re proud of the line and have enjoyed developing

what we believe is a rugged and stylish line of high-value, high-quality products.

We’ve long-learned now that keeping graphics, look&feel steady for longer than single season is sensi-

ble and sound. It allows distributors and dealers to sell-through products and benefit from full margin

on every item. Please don’t under estimate this fact and consider this as a very valuable argument in

terms of profit in the longer term!

We truly believe in our philosophy “Simplicity meets durability”. Not only in terms of product and

appearance, but also in terms of distribution. For 2010 we’re offering 3 different price structures to

cover every customers demand in terms of margin and stock availability.

Product-wise our range has grown slightly since 2009. A small line of rigs is now available and we’ve

upgraded our range of carbon masts and booms. Offering value is one of our core principles. For the

coming season we’re quite confident that we achieved this goal.

In a shaky global climate we’ll keep giving you and your customers the most for your money, and look

forward to welcoming new partners onboard.

Here’s to another successful season together –and hopefully many more to come!

Benefits of Unifiber Masts:

• SuperValueforMoney

• LongLifeDurability

• ConsistentQualitythroughpre-pregmanufacturingmethods

• SuperiorHeatReflectionProperties

All Unifiber masts are made using the latest PRE PREG Carbon Molding Techniques. For the perfect balance of weight

and durability there’s simply no better method. With precise layers of choice carbon content, our pre-impregnated

masts can boast accurate ratios of carbon:resin for consistent quality that wet lay-up processes just can’t achieve.

Thanks to a unique controlled curing and heating process, Unifiber masts give exact stiffness, precise bend curves and

dependable performance on the water.

In the Reduced Diameter Range (RDM) we beefed-up the wall thickness for extra peace-of-mind for just a few extra

grams. And for 2010 we’ve also introduced a super high-value RDM40 model too. Plus, we wrapped all our RDM masts

in high-tech silver UV-resistant cloth to minimise exposure in strong sun. The SDM line now also features silver cloth

in the boom cut-out area for added protection. All SDM C75, C100 and RDM C100 masts are supplied with protective

mastbag.

BOOMS ALL CARBONWe aimed to increase performance by developing a unique bend curve for ultimate function and stiffness. To enhance

long-life and efficient transfer of power we chose 29mm diameter tubes over the industry-standard of 26mm to combat

strain. All plastic parts are produced from high-quality Nylon for superior resistance to stress and impact.

Our unique boomshape’s a fraction wider than most wave-specific booms and slightly narrower than dedicated slalom

or race models to make sure the entire range will perfectly match 95% of the sails you’ll see on the water.

All Unifiber monocoque booms feature a universal head to fit both standard (SDM) and Reduced Diameter Masts (RDM)*.

The single shell exterior construction gives stiffness and protection from both stress and impact. A comfortable wide

diameter (29mm compared to industry standard 26mm) and universal shape are easy on your forearms and fit any types

of sail and use for long-lasting value over many seasons to come.

We picked stylish EVA graphics and prints to help mark your favourite harness line positions and placements. You’ll also

find double pin locks for rock-solid fastening of the adjustable back-end, premium nylon used on all external plastic

parts, and a robust multi-pulley block on the tail section for easy fine-tuning on-the-fly.

FINSWe all know fins are vital. Resistance in water is about 850 times higher than in the air, so production tolerances

are crucial.

For the ultimate mix of price and quality, we produce both CNC machined and hand-finished fin’s using G10 and

Vinylester materials. You’ll find G10 in the larger sizes for optimum performance in durability, flex and twist and for

foils under 36cm we use Vinylester for further comfort and control. For serious tricksters there’s an impact-resistant

G10 lay-up in all sizes for the exciting Chop – Chop freestyle fin and an all-G10 line-up for the Weed-slaying models

too.

Freeride fin

With a wide chord for straight-line stability with a smart curve for jibes and turns. G10 construction takes care of stiffness in sizes up to 36cm and you gain from Vinylester’s softer handling characteristics.
