PRINCE2 was launched in 1996 and has since become the most widely used project management method worldwide (more than 1 mln certified professionals identified at the beginning of 2013). Its use extends beyond Governments and Institutions as it has been adopted by the private sector. PRINCE2 has also moved beyond its IT origin and is used for R&D projects, product development projects, marketing projects, business transforma-tion projects and many more. PRINCE2 is a public domain method which means organizations do not have to pay a license fee to use PRINCE2.

PRINCE2 is a structured method for the effective and efficient manage-ment of projects. It is a generic, best-practice approach for the manage-ment of all types of projects and it has become the de facto standard for organising, managing and controlling projects globally.

Portfolio management has come to the fore as organizations have become increasingly aware that delivery is only half the battle. Just as important is whether or not the change initiatives are the ‘right’ ones and whether the potential return on investment is achieved. MoP is a set of guidance helping you understanding which change initiatives contribute most to your strategy. “I did the E-learning Foundation and

Practitioner course on 3 months. I passed both exams

on the 1st attempt. So the E-learning did is job. When I ques-

tioned the trainer, I always got a reply within 24 hours. E-learning has

the advantage of being able to work at your own pace and the questions at the end of the chapter can assess our

comprehension.”

DISTANCE LEARNING:HOW IT WORKSPersonalised planningDistance learning offers new ways of personalizing training and adapting to needs of students. In the case of the PRINCE2© Foundation or Practitioner certification this means that students have the freedom to study in their own pace, when they want, where they want. In order to guide you through the PRINCE2 manual and safely take the certification exam, the QRP Distance Learning Packages consist of a balanced blend of self-study, e-learning, personal support and printed material.

Foundation study cycleThe Foundation study approach is a repeating study cycle of four steps:1. Use the Manual to study the relevant chapter covered by each individual Lesson2. Log in to the QRP E-learning Academy and complete the online test questions3. Complete the questions of the intelligent Memotraining™ Q-Trainer, covering all the previous lessons, where

needed4. Contact the E-tutor if you have any doubts about the lesson you just coveredAfter step 4, go back to step 1 for the next lesson. As soon as you are able to produce a consistent 60% pass rate on all the subjects covered, you know you are ready to take the PRINCE2 Foundation exam.

Practitioner 5 step planThe Practitioner Study Approach is a five step plan, consisting of:1. Selfstudy and Practitioner Health Check2. Case study based on its QCard scenario3. Case study based on its Dominica scenario4. 1 paper based APMG mock exam5. 1 online APMG mock exam.If you are able to produce a 60% pass rate on a scenario or mock exam, you know you are ready to go on with the next step. The subjects in the exams and scenario help you focus on the topics to study. As you have also passed the last, online mock exam with a 60% score, you are ready for the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam.

The Q-Trainer technology When you answer questions covering the first chapter more questions about the same subject will automatically be created in the Q-Trainer system. During the next lessons the system will randomly include in your exercises questions related to past subjects in order to maintain your knowledge and revision of past lesson. If you answer a question incorrectly, this question will be repeated soon. When you answer a question correctly, it will be asked less frequently. The repetition scheme automatically adjusts to your learning style effectively training you on your weaknesses. The Q-trainer, supported by Memotraining™ technology, makes sure that you will be opti-mally prepared for your PRINCE2© Foundation exam!

E-TutoringThe Foundation and Practitioner study approaches are based on an easy structure and meant to be self explanatory. Even so, every pupil is unique and to make sure that you feel confident with every next step of your study approach, QRP’s Dis-tance Learning Packages include personal online E-tutor support. In the Foun-dation study approach you can contact the online trainer if you have any ques-tions about the lessons you just covered. In the Practitioner study approach the E-tutor explains how to answer questions in the case study scenario’s and the mock exams in a PRINCE2© way.
