No parent should have to bury their child. When it does happen, Karinya provides a place where beauty softens the greatest loss of all.
As you walk beneath the towering gums amid beautifully landscaped gardens, we hope you’ll experience a sense of peace; for Karinya is a very special place designed for children.
Carefully tended shrubs and lawns surround a meandering dry creek bed lined with pebbles. Unique granite benches are carved with children’s characters; letter blocks, hopscotch and a little bear in the lap of a big bear give an air of being a child... the sense of play for children is never far away.
There’s a gazebo where you can rest and soft lawns where you may find comfort in family picnics. A place for siblings to visit, for friends and relatives to come, reflect, talk and rejoice in those special lives.
Taking its name from an Aboriginal word meaning peaceful home, Karinya offers a spiritual place; a beautiful home for some very special children. In this reflective environment, you will discover a peaceful resting place.
