Hello, I’m Dr. Natalie MacLean and I am thrilled to join Dr. Roy Kaplan at Kaplan MacLean Rheumatology. If you are a new patient, welcome! If you are an existing patient, welcome back. We will continue to provide you with the same exceptional care you come to expect from this premier practice. I am qualified to care for you I earned my Medical degree from the University of Western Ontario. I completed my residency in Internal Medicine and my Rheumatology Fellowship at the University of Alberta. I also have a Master of Medical Science – Oncology. As a Rheumatologist at the University of Alberta, my research focused on the patient experience and improving patient outcomes. I am excited to return to San Diego County in private practice. What gets me up in the morning Aside from my four children? I am energetic and need to be active, from the gym to the yoga mat to the great outdoors. I have a strong sense of community and service to others. Meeting and connecting with people is what I most enjoy, and I’m fortunate to have that opportunity every day, whether at work or at play! Why I love Rheumatology Rheumatology is complex, and no one test can diagnose a Rheumatologic condition. To provide good care, patients must be seen, heard and really understood. Taking time to appreciate your needs to form trusting, lasting relationships is the heart of Rheumatology. The best reward is to provide meaningful, day-to-day improvements in function to help my patients live well. My promise to you To help keep you moving by providing comprehensive, compassionate, patient-centered care. My team and I look forward to seeing you at your next visit. Sincerely, Dr. Natalie MacLean, MD, MSc FRCPC
