Hello ATA Family,

It’s my pleasure and honor to personally invite you to the 4th Kansas City Classic

ATA Class B Taekwondo tournament. With the holidays fast approaching and the

new year just around the corner, I’m sure you’re setting goals for 2020! I hope

attending our tournament is one of your first goals that you get to accomplish and scratch off your goal list!

We’re excited to host this incredible event in a very convenient venue, the KCI Expo Center! The host hotel is ac-

tually connected to the venue so no need to drive once you’re on site! This will save you time and money!

For your convenience, check out our tournament schedule. You’ll know in advance, when your ring stages and

competes making planning your trip even easier!

In addition to all the CM’s, SM’s and Masters in our region who will be attending our event, I’m also very excited

to be bringing in a few significant Masters for you to meet as well.

Chief Master Wenenn, a pioneer in the ATA’s mid-west region. He’s one of the original masters who actually

made our region! We’re honored to have him and he’ll be honored to sign your belt and take a picture with you!

My next guest is a great friend and Senior Master coming in all the way from Orlando, Florida! Senior Master

Nery is one of the very first ever Legacy Instructors! In fact, he’s the instructor, of instructors! He’s a World Top

10 Champion Competitor and is the International Director of Victory Martial Arts– over 50 martial arts schools

world wide! I can’t wait for you to meet him.

Finally, SM Nominee, McCrannie will visit us from the great state of Arkansas! Recently relocating from Panama

City, Florida, SM Nominee McCrannie is now the NW Arkansas Regional Developer for Karate Atlanta. He’s a

World Champion and a dear friend to me. Please come meet him!

It’s my pleasure and honor to announce we will be hosting an ATA REGIONAL TESTING in conjunction with our

KC Classic Tournament. This is an opportunity for you or your juniors to advance in rank.

Maybe they can’t make World Championships or Nationals. This is their opportunity to stay current with their

class rank!

Go through your Black Belt roster and see if you have any juniors who are off cycle with testing to 4th Degree at

Worlds or Nationals. This may be a chance to get them caught up!

Maybe you missed a midterm or need to more points, this is your chance as well!

I want to thank the Region 115 Master’s Council for the opportunity to keep the Black Belts in the ATA moving

forward towards new heights in their journey to Mastership!

Rings may be called up to 45 minutes prior to the posted staging time. Adult Black Belt competition forms accepted at Black Belt meeting ONLY. Divisions will be divided at that time. If you miss your staging time you will NOT be allowed to compete. Your competition age is your age as of December 31st, 2019 2nd Degree Rec will compete as a 2nd Degree. All ATA approved sparring gear required: Head, Feet, Hands, Chest, Face, Mouth, (Cup for males).
