The Pukekos have been learning how to begin recount writing with an introduction and finish with a

conclusion.

We have written about our study of Kandinsky the artist, and how we tried

to copy his style of art.

Kandinsky was a Russian artist. Kandinsky was making abstract art. Abstract art doesn’t look like any

real thing. On his art are heaps of triangles, circles, squares, lines and ovals.

Kandinsky died in 1944, he was 78 years old.

Kandinsky’s hobby was art. After a while he started a club. Some of his mates were Matisse and Klee. Now his art is worth lots of money.

After we looked at Kandinsky’s art we made our own. First we took some shapes and arranged them on the paper. Once that was finished we all took a photo of our art. The thing I likes about my art is the colours.

The third step is to arrange the shapes again on the painted background then glue carefully.

I think Kandinsky art looks fantastic. But I won’t use shapes for my art I would probably use some patterns for my art. When I grow up I want

to be an artist just like Kandinsky.Ala

Kandinsky died in 1944 and no one can afford his art work. It has video cameras around his art and

some lasers too.

When we had to do our abstract art it looked hard but then it turned out it wasn’t that hard at all.

I think Kandinsky is a really good artist and I think abstract art is a good type of art. I wish I could do Kandinsky every

Kandinsky is a Russian artist who lived in the early 1980s.

He went to university school. After he graduated he got a job. Art was his hobby. Then he stopped that work and did

art.

He made an art club. People thought his art was a bit crazy. After a while people thought his work was fascinating and now

it is worth millions of dollars.

First we made a rough idea of how the actual one would look like. Then we did a background. We had to make sure it was

opposite. After that we had to put the shapes on.

We had shapes to make our own Kandinsky art work. The things we needed were shapes, white paper, water paint and brushes. First we had to arrange our shapes on the big white paper. Then we had to

take a photo so we can remember what our design looked like.

Then we were ready to paint the background. To paint we used water paints. Then after we had to arrange our shapes on the paper again

and glue on our shapes.

We did some art as well. Our art was not real, Kandinsky’s art is real. Our art was made in shapes by cutting it. Kandinsky’s was real because he painted it. Our Kandinskys were famous as well. When we put the paint and the shapes together it

really stood out.

I think Kandinsky’s art is very famous. I really love the way that Kandinsky has done his work. It is more detailed than our

work.

Kandinsky used to do art in his spare time. One day he quit his job so he could do art, a different kind of art. He created art that didn’t look like anything, it was called abstract art.

My art is called Selenasky. First we had to cut out shapes and arrange the shapes in opposites. Then we needed to paint a

background with water colours. Then we put our shapes on as before and glue them.I like my art because of the two

opposite colours green and brown.

I like Kandinsky art because it is made from shapes and has opposite colours.
