Kamerenèn (last changed on 16 september 2011) In every village there is some young man who is gifted with special dancing skills. He is called the Kamerenen Dönna. When he dances he is encouraged by the women around the dancing area. Famoudou Konate compesed two rhytyhms with the song “Kamerenen Dönna”. It’s a Dounounba rhytyhm that is one of the “dances for the strong men” eee, Iyo’n kodole ba’ n Kodo, eee dwiwo so kalon Kamerenen Donna Faninkotumana, malokotuma......Fobondatuma Faninkotumana, ye denke sondonna......Fobondatuma O my brother, my older brother The whole village knows how magnificant the young man dances!
