GENERAL RULES• The organizers reserve all rights to

update, change and/or cancel any

of the rules, event prizes and the

events. In case of anyambiguity/discrepancy, the

interpretations of the rules by the

organizers will be final and binding.

• All the rules are subject to revision,

the participants are requested to

check the final rules and stay

updated for any revision and themeannouncements for particular

events on the official website,

www.karav13.com,and confirm the

same from the organizers at specific

event sites before participation. All

participants are presumed to have

read and understood all rulesbefore participation.

• Any form, of indiscipline, obscenity,

plagiarism and profanity will be

severely penalized, and may also

lead to disqualification of the

team/individual from further

participation.

• Carrying or/and consumption of any

form of alcohol, drugs, etc. Are

banned in the campus. The

organizers reserve the right to denyadmission to anyone if he/she is

deemed to be intoxicated, even if 

he/she holds any pass.

• Organizers of events reserve the

right to accept or reject the entries

without assigning any reasons.

Judging procedures will not bequestionable.

• In case of any dispute, all decisions

by the event organizers will be final

and binding on all participants.

• The prizes projected will be

awarded by the organizers at the

earliest possible. The organizers

commit to honour the projected

prizes for the winners immediately

upon receipt of committed funds

from the sponsors. However, the

participants are requested to be

patient during the process.

Drama is the best form of art which can represent reality of today’sworld. A mirror reflection of what goes around, Karlav’13 provides

you an opportunity to express, feel and live in that one momentand bring about a difference.

RULES• The time limit of a performance should be 15-25 minutes. A warning

bell will strike at 22 minutes for indication. The team is liable to bedisqualified by the jury if they exceed the time limit and ignore the finalbell.

• A participation of not more than 15 members per team will beapproved. Each member must belong to the same college.

• The maximum number of properties allowed to be used during theperformance is 2 and that of musical instruments is 3. No electronicdevices are allowed.

• Teams are required to bring in their own properties.

• They must report the college at least 30 minutes before the time of theevent and bring their Id cards along to confirm their registration.

• Time slot will be allotted on first come first serve basis.

• The decision of the Jury will be final and binding.

Ad-O-ManiaAD-MAD

Consider yourself to be a marketing genius? Are witty and creative? This is aplace for you to be! Kalrav challenges you to come, see, invent and

entertain. For all the drama enthusiasts here is an opportunity not to be

missed out on.

RULES • There will be two

rounds: one elimination round and

a Final round

• Each team should consist of 3-4

members and no person can be a part

of more than one team.

• The Ad Prepared by the contestant

must not contain any obscene

words/any subject which hurts thefeeling of any

religion/region/culture/language.

• The decision of the judge is final and

binding.

ROUNDS: 

Round 1: “Your product, Your Ad” 

In this round the participants will have

to prepare an Ad for a product of their

own choice. The time limit for the Ad is

2-3 minutes. The best ones will qualifyfor the

Final round.

Round 2: “Our product, Your Ad” 

In this round the finalists will be given a

product on the spot and they have 7

Minutes to prepare their own Ad.

Judging criteria shall be:

• Ad strategy/theme. 

• Creativity 

• Clarity of message/idea. 

• Ad Enactment and Presentation. 

• Jingle/Punch line

ApocalypseBattle of the Bands

Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight tothe imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything-PLATO

Apocalypse hails the best music band (Eastern OR Western) that recreatestheir favourite musical numbers with superlative instrumental and vocal co-

ordination.

RULES

• All bands have to upload 4 minute video on www.youtube.com clearly

showing all band members. Bands can provide us with the link at the timeof registration.

• Maximum of 12 and minimum of 4 members per team. No participantshall be a part of more than two teams.

• Each band can perform either eastern or western but not both.

• Time limit: 20 minutes (5 minutes setup time+ 15 minutes playing time)

5% of the total marks will be deducted for every extra minute.• Use of pre-recorded music (e.g. sequences, keyboard rhythm, guitar

loops) will result in disqualification.

• Instruments provided: a 5 piece drum set along with basic setup.

JUDGING CRITERIA

• Musical Ability: Vocal/Instrumental quality and tonal quality.

• Stage Presence: Fluidity, group communication and audience appeal.

RULES• The house believes that “Tea and coffee cannot co-exist”

Motion is free to logical interpretation.

• Teams will comprise compulsorily of two speakers (Forand against the same motion). Maximum of 2 teams per

institution.• Each speaker will be expected to speak for a maximum of 

4 minutes (3+1).

• Language to be used – English only.

• This is open to all undergraduate institutions that are

interested. No Cross College teams allowed.

Kalrav’13 is back with the minute count that can sweep the spectators off their

feet with lightening speed. A minute stuffed with talent in abundance. If you thinkyou are invincible and posses the ability to enchant the spectators, we provide you

the platform and 60 seconds to claim the fame. Go get it! It is the race againsttime. 

RULES•  The participant must submit a photocopy of his/her identity card at the time

of registration. Online registered candidates also have to submit it before theevent.

• Registrations can be done either online at website by mailing the registrationform to the event head or manually at the college premises

• Each participant has to report at the venue at least 30 minutes prior to the

beginning of the competition.• The participant has to give the details of his/her performance in writing to the

organizers before participation. The organizers reserve the right to disallow anyperformance if they deem it dangerous. Any performance which deviates fromthe written description is liable to be stopped

• Use of flames, weapons, etc is prohibited.

• No substitute can be nominated on behalf of the participant to participate inthe event at any stage.

• The participants will be liable for any damage to the property of the college.

RULES • The competition will consist of three rounds. 

ROUND 1 

• Each team will consist of 2 members.

• This round will be based upon a CRICKET QUIZ.

• 10 teams will be shortlisted that will qualify for ROUND 2.

ROUND 2 

• Every team will be given a budget of Rs.100, 000.

• 10 overs will be shown through audio visuals.

• Teams will be shown the first 3 balls of every over and they have to bet on thenext 3 balls.

• The teams will be given a rate and they will guess whether the number of runsscored in the last 3 balls of the over will exceed the rate given.

 • The amount of money you bet on every over will be doubled if your guess is right and

will be lost if your guess is wrong.

• Profits cannot be reinvested. Amounts have to be invested in multiples of 1000

• The amount of money invested in one over should not be less than Rs.1, 000 or morethan Rs.20, 000.

• Top 5 teams (on the basis of profit earned) will proceed to ROUND 3.

ROUND 3 

• The budget of the teams qualifying for ROUND 3 will be increased by Rs 50,000.

• Participants will be shown middle over i.e. 10th over in case of a T20 match and 25th over in case of an ODI match. Participants will have to predict the final score. Theprediction will be in class intervals.

• Class intervals will vary from 0-10, 0-20 and 0-30. If your prediction is correct then you

will win certain amount. The winning amount will be as under:• Class Interval of 0-10: you’ll get 4 times the amount you bet (e.g. bet 20,000 & get

80,000)

• Class Interval of 0-20: you’ll get 3 times the amount you bet (e.g. bet 20,000 & get60,000)

• Class Interval of 0-30: you’ll get 2 times the amount you bet (e.g. bet 20,000 & get40,000)

• If your prediction is wrong then you lose the amount you bet. Profits cannot be

reinvested.

• There will be a total of 3 innings and the amount of money you bet in each inningshould not be less than Rs.20,000 and more than Rs.70,000. The betting amountshould be in multiples of Rs.1000.

• For instance, score of Delhi Daredevils after 10 overs is 80-3. You bet Rs.50, 000 andpredict that final score will be in the range of 155-175. If this guess is correct then youget 3*50,000 i.e. Rs.150, 000.

The team with maximum profit will win.• The decision of the Jury will be final and binding.

KronosLAN Gaming Competition

ANGRY BIRDS SPACE

MATCH FORMAT 

• Every match will be played on the levels

chosen by the Event Coordinator.

• Changing all in-game settings will be done

after approval from the Event Coordinator.

• There will be three levels from the same

zone. Both the players will have to play thesame levels as chosen by coordinator.

• The winner will be chosen on basis of 

higher cumulative score of three levels and will

advance to the next round.

FINALS

• In this match, 3 rounds will be played on

the level “Danger Zone”. 

• The players will compete against each

other on same stages of play.

• They will have to complete the stage

under the time limit set by coordinator for

every round. The player with the higher

cumulative score shall win the tournament. 

RULES 

• Players must be present in the

tournament area. They are required to be

present a few minutes before their match. If a

player is not present, she will be subject to

disqualification.

• Any change in the settings is prohibited in

the game.

• The players have the freedom to bring

their own controlling device(s) like, keyboards,

mice, controllers, etc (USB only)

• If one of the players gets disconnected or

the system/game crashes, she is required to

 join the game immediately and the round will

be restarted.

• No refreshing of game is allowed and if 

done will lead to immediate disqualification of 

the player.

• Only individual girls can participate in

this tournament.

 BLUR 

MATCH FORMAT 

• Every match (Powered up Racing or

Motor Mash) will be played on one map

chosen by the Event Coordinator.

• Picking up of event Motor Mash orPowered up racing will be done by the

Event Coordinator randomly.

• Changing all Server settings will be done

after approval from the Event

Coordinator.

• AI Racers will be turned off.

• The winner will advance to the nextround.

FINALS

• In this match, 3 rounds will be played.

• The first and second round will be a

Survival Derby match on two different

maps. The player with the highest score

at the end of Motor Mash will be

awarded one point.

• The third and final round will be a

Classic Race. The player who wins the

race will be awarded one point.

• The first player to get 2 points will be

declared the winner.

RULES 

• Players must be present in the

tournament area. They are required to

be present a few minutes before theirmatch. If a player is not present, he/she

will be subject to disqualification.

• Players will be given 5 minutes to

configure settings and use of console or

change in settings after the allotted

time will be prohibited.

 CALL OF DUTY 4:MODERN WARFARE 

MATCH FORMAT • Every match (Team Deathmatch mode)

will be played on a single map chosen bythe Event Coordinator for the following

time limits : – Preliminary – 6 minutes – Qualifiers – 7 minutes – Semi Finals – 10 minutes

• Choosing in-game teams i.e. USMC orOpFor, S.A.S or Spetsnaz will be donerandomly using chits.

• The team with the maximum amount of 

points will win the round.• Each win will award the team with one

point.

TIE-BREAKER• In case of a tie, the Event Coordinator

shall choose a map and another TDMround will take place.

• Choosing in-game teams shall be doneas stated before.

• The first team to score 50 points shall bedeclared the winner.

• These rules apply for all matches exceptthe finals. 

FINALS•

In this match, 3 rounds will be played onone map in TDM mode.

• Choosing in-game teams shall be doneas stated before.

• The first team to score 100 points willwin the round.

• The team to win 2 out of the 3 rounds

shall we crowned the TournamentWinner

 FIFA 12

MATCH FORMAT 

• Every match (Exhibition Mode) will be

played in the presence of the Event

Coordinator.

• Changing all Server settings will be doneafter approval from the Event Coordinator.

• Each half will be of 10 minutes.

• Game Speed – Normal

• Classic XI and World XI are NOT allowed.

• Use of any in-game glitches is

prohibited.

If a game starts with severe connectionissues, both players must agree to start a

new lobby and game.

• If the player that lost connection was

ahead by 1 or more goals at the time of 

disconnection, the match must be restarted.

• If the match is a draw at half time and a

player has lost connection, the match will be

restarted.

• If a player disconnects himself/herself 

and he/she is leading, then the other player

will be declared the winner.

• If a player disconnects himself/herself 

and he/she is trailing, then the other player

will be declared the winner.

• The winner will advance to the next

round.

TIE-BREAKER• In case of a tie, the match will continue

in class mode.

• If the result is still a draw, there will be

penalty shootouts until a player wins.

tournament area. They are required to be

Mad Over Sitcom Quiz will be a bag of trivia, connects and questions you canwork out, covering all genres of the world of television. It will be based on

sitcoms like HIMYM, Big bang theory, Two and a half men, Seinfeld etc. This

quiz is the ultimate stage for you to test your knowledge of everything fun

on TV. Specially designed for couch potatoes!

RULES

Participating Teams will consist of 2 members.• It will be a 3 round quiz.

• 1st Round or preliminary round will be a MCQ based round, in

which participating teams will be given a set of questions. It will be

an eliminating round with a time period of around 15 minutes. Top

teams with the highest score will qualify for the next round.

• 2nd Round will be an audio-visual round. Teams will be shown thevisual or audio clips from the sitcoms and a question based on that

will be asked. Top teams will qualify for the last round.

•  3rd Round, there will be an oral quiz. Each team will be asked

questions. They have to answer within 10 seconds, if not then the

question will be passed on to the next team. The team with the

highest score at the end of 3rd round will be declared winners.

MalharSolo Singing Competition

Malhar is a solo singing competition. It is a talent hunt forthe most versatile singer amongst the participants.

RULES 

•Songs should be in Hindi.

•Maximum of 2 male and 2

female entries per college.

•The event comprises

Eliminations followed by Finals.

Eliminations:

•The contestant will have to

perform a Hindi song of his/her

choice.

•Time limit is 4 minutes.

•7 male and 7 female contestants

will be shortlisted for the finals.

Finals:

•Time limit for this round is 5

minutes.Contestants are allowed to

accompany maximum of 2

instrumentalists OR can perform

on Karaoke.

•A song bank will be made

available to those finalists who

will be performing on Karaoke.

•Judging will be based on quality

of voice, sense of scale and beat

and quality of rendition.

RULES 

• Cross College Teams are permitted.

• A team can have a minimum of 6 and maximum of 12

members.

• The duration of the performance should be 6-12 minutes.

• Participants are required to carry their own CDs (2 copies in

audio format, no DVD or Mp3 allowed).

• Teams have to report to the venue 30 minutes before the

competition.

• The decision of the judges is final and binding, in all

unmentioned instances.

Twisted Trap(Treasure Hunt)

Hansel and Gretel went to a nap,Found themselves in a twisted trap,

Kalrav’13 is ready to twist your senses with the trap inbuilt to test your team

spirit. It is all about finding clues and fighting your way out amongst a gamut of surprises and turns. Hunt it out!

FORMAT • It’s a one day task based treasure hunt to be performed in the college

campus only.

• The event will comprise of three rounds-

• Round 1- Preliminary Stage(depending upon the number on teams)

This round is a team elimination round. It consists of a Logical Aptitude test whichcontains 15 questions of one mark each. The Time limit to be given to the teams

will be 25 minutes. 15 teams will be selected on the basis on the test.

• Round 2- Scavenger Hunt

At this stage the teams will be given a list of items which they have to hunt in the

crowd and the college premises within a given time limit. Beg, borrow, or steal!

10 teams will be selected on the basis of the hunt.

• Round 3- Crack the codes

 ADDITIONAL RULES 

A team should consist of maximum of 4 and minimum of 2 members.

• Use of mobile phones is prohibited.

• A member of the Organizing team would accompany

each team and supervise every move to ensure fair play.

• The team members will be allowed access to the campusmap for 4 minutes per team before the hunt starts.

• Teams have to find clues hidden all over the campus in

order to reach the hidden treasure.

• The clues will be inside the college premises only.

• The teams must have all the clue cards, when they reach

the final destination.

• Use of unfair means is unacceptable. The team is liable of 

disqualification on the spot.

Wacky Knack T-shirt Painting Competition

Are you a design enthusiast who won’t be bound by the

rules for a single task? Choose for yourself in this

unique event. 

RULES• We will be providing tee shirts to the participants.

• The colours to be used in their work will be carried by

them.

• Time given to them for completion of their work will be

2 hours.

• There will be no specific theme.

• 2 winners will be selected by the judges on the bases of 

their painting skills and the theme chosen by them.
