B.Sc., (Nursing) 4 YD Course: 1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31
st December of the year in
which admission is sought. 2. Minimum Education:
a. 10+2 Passed @45% aggregate of marks in science (Physics, Chemistry and
Biology) and English is compulsory subject in 10+2. b. 10+2 passed from recognized board under AISSCE/ CBSE/ ICSE/SSCE/
HSCE/NIOS/TOSS or other equivalent Board with Physics, Chemistry and
Biology. c. Intermediate Vocational with Bridge Course in Biological and Physical
Sciences. d. Those who belongs to SC, ST and BC are eligible with 40% aggregate marks
in the Science Group subjects ( Biology and Physical Sciences) as per the
norms of Indian Nursing Coucil. 3. Students shall be medically fit. 4. Students shall be admitted once in a year (As per the G.O.Rt.No.1095, Health
Medical and Family Welfare (K1) Depart., dated.02.09.2013)

PROSPECTUS FOR CALLING OF APPLICATIONS FOR ADMISSION
(WEB BASED) INTO B.Sc. NURSING 4YD COURSE FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2016-17
1. REGULATIONS:
The following are the regulations for admission of students into B.Sc., Nursing
4YD Course in affiliated colleges of KNR University of Health Sciences,
Telangana, for the Academic year 2016-17.
2. They shall apply for the colleges affiliated to KNR University of Health
Sciences in the state of Telangana.
3. The B.Sc., Nursing Course is 4 years duration.
4. Payment of Registration fee by Indian credit card / Debit card / Net banking
4.1 You can make payment through Visa/Master Credit Cards (Not International
credit / Debit Cards / Net banking issued by any bank. This facility is provided
through the payment gateway of Bill Desk. Please read the following carefully.
If you agree, please click on the I agree and pay now button below.
4.2 Amount to be paid to KNR UHS:Rs.1200/- for OC/BC candidates &
Rs.1000/- for SC/ST candidates.
4.3 You will then be directed to the payment gateway server wherein the
transactions are done securely by the Bill Desk payment gateway.
4.4 Once the payment is authorized, you will be automatically redirected back to
KNR UHS Registration server where you can take printout of the application
form with the receipt.
4.5 KNRUHS Server does not collect any information on your credit card
details such as credit card number, expiry date etc.
4.6 If the payment is successful and the amount is received by KNRUHS, when
you login to KNRUHS B.Sc. Nursing Registration website next time, you will
be taken to the print page wherein you can print the application form along
with the payment receipt.
4.7 During the payment process, if the link fails or you receive any error
message, you are advised to re login with your personal details and
Registration number at KNRUHS B.Sc.Nursing Registration site and check.
If the money is not received by KNR UHS, you will be taken to the page where
in you have to select the payment method and continue once again. If
the payment is already received, you will be permitted to take printout of
your appl ication form
4.8 Please note that once you proceed you are deemed to have understood and
agreed to the process detailed above.

Step 1: Enter the Candidate details. 1. Applicant want to register please click on ‘Click Here for New Registration’.
If applicant already registered please login with your application no and date of
birth to complete remaining process.
1. Candidates need to enter their details in Registration Form. Please find the below
screen shot for the registration form.

2. By clicking on submit button screen will show Edit and Confirm buttons. If Candidate
wants to edit the details, he/she can click on Edit button and modify the details.
3. If candidate don’t want to edit the details, He/She can click on Confirm Button.
Editing / adding information is not possible once the application is submitted.

4. Once candidate click on submit button, Page will redirect to registered details page
which shows Application No ,Candidate Name, Gender, Date of Birth which is
entered by applicant.
Imp Note: Please Note down the details displayed on the screen for future reference. 5. By clicking on Click Here to Upload Photo button, Page will redirect to File upload
page.
Step 2: Upload Images
1. Applicant has to select file type which is uploading (Photo, signature etc) in
dropdown list.
2. After selection of file type click on browse to select file and click on upload button to
upload the scanned copy of file in appropriate format. Candidate can see the
uploaded file on same screen to reconfirm the file which is uploaded.
3. Click on Declaration check box.

By clicking on submit button, Page will redirect to fee payment page.
Step 3: Fee Payment. 1. Fee can be paid through one of the following ways:
Debit Card / Credit Card/ Net Banking through online payment gateway only. 2. After reading all the information provided in Fee Payment page, Click on ‘Yes, I
agree and Pay now’. By clicking on this button, page will redirect to Bill Desk
Payment page.
3. On successful completion of fee payment, Page will redirect to Registration
payment success page.
4. Once fees payment is successful, applicant need to take printout of fee receipt
and application form.
Note: If applicant unable to complete registration process from step2 due to internet
problem, they can login again through Login link, they should fill their application
no and DOB.

5. NOTE:

i. The admissions into the colleges are subject to
University for the academic year 2016-17 and
Indian Nursing Council.
ii. Distribution of seats among various categories for admission in the
above colleges will be displayed at the time of counseling.
iii. In case of any new college(s) are affiliated to the University before
the date of counseling, the seats in those colleges also will be filled-
up. No further notification will be issued.
iv. The names of the colleges with number of seats that are affiliated
will be displayed at the time of counseling.
6. Categorization of seats: As per G.O.Ms.NO.330, HM&FW (K1) Department, dt.11-11-2011, in an
institution Sixty percent (60%) of the total number of seats shall be filled
as competent authority seats and remaining Forty percent (40%) seats
shall be filled as management seats. In respect of the Government
colleges 100% Nursing seats shall be Competent authority, will be filled
by the University.
7. Reservation of seats for Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes.
7.1 Out of the available seats for admission by the University 15% for SCs
and 6% for STs shall be reserved in each local area. If any seat reserved
for the Scheduled Tribes is not filled up they will be open to the
candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Vice-Versa. 7.2 If the candidates from Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes are not
available these reserved seats shall be re-allotted to candidates of open
competition on the basis of merit. 7.3 Candidates from the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes belonging to
Telangana State which are specified in the list as per the Government
orders will be considered against the reserved seats.

8. Reservation for BC Candidates:
29% of the seats available for admission by the University, for B.Sc.,
Nursing 4years degree Course shall be reserved for candidates belonging to
Backward Classes and shall be allotted among the five groups of Back Ward
Classes as follow:-
BC-A-7%, BC-B-10%, BC-C-1%, BC-D-7% and BC-E-4% as per the
G.O.Ms.No.1793, Education, dt.23.09.1970 and G.O.Ms.No.23, Backward
Classes Welfare (C2), dated. 07-07-2007 and G.O.Ms.No.231, Health Medicall
and Family Welfare (E1) Department, dated. 11-07-2009.
* Reservation under BC-E is subject to further orders from Government of
Telangana/High Court.
Only those Candidates who belongs to these castes of the States of
Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh which are listed in the Government orders shall be
considered under the respective categories.
If qualified candidates belonging to Backward Classes of a particular group
are not available, the left over seats can be adjusted for the candidates of next
group. If qualified candidates belonging to Back Ward Classes are not available
to fill up the 29% seats reserved for them, the left over seats shall be treated as
Open Competition seats and shall be filled up with candidates of open
competition on the basis of merit. 8.1 While calculating the number of seats in the Sub-categories if the total
number of seats falls short of or exceeds 29% it shall be limited to 29%
by adding or eliminating the candidates on the basis of merit in the sub-
groups in which the fractions were rounded to nearest figure.
8.2 In working out percentage of reserved candidates under SC, ST and BC
categories, a fraction less than 0.5 will be ignored and if the fraction is 0.5
or more, it will be counted as one, subject to sub regulation 8(1). 9. Certification of Caste:
9.1 Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Backward class candidates shall in
support of their claim, have to furnish a certificate in the prescribed form
appended to the application. If the certificate is not in the prescribed
form, candidates will not be considered for selection under the reserved
quota. 9.2 The social status of the candidates who have applied for the seats
reserved for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes
shall be scrutinized in terms of G.O.Ms.No.58 SW (J) Dept, dated.12-5-97.
10. RESERVATION UNDER PH CATEGORY:
Out of the available seats for admission by the KNR University of
Health Sciences, 3% shall be reserved for the Physically Handicapped (PH) in
each categories of OC, SC, ST, BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D and BC-E. As per
Government of India guidelines. Physically Handicapped candidates with
locomotary disorder of lower limbs between 40% to 70% are only eligible under
the Physically Handicapped quota.

A Medical Board will be constituted for scrutinizing the applications, and
the candidates should appear in person before the medical board. The Medical
Board should confirm the disability mentioned in the certificate and decide
fitness to undergo the rigours of medical education.
Candidates with the following defects shall not be considered for
selection under this category:
1) Mentally retarded 2) Blindness 3) Deaf and Dumb 4) Chronic Heart, Lung, Kidney and Liver Disease and
5) Muscular Distrophy Once the Physically Handicapped status is confirmed, merit is to be taken
into consideration for allotment of seat.
The candidate seeking the benefit of reservation should present
him/herself before a Medical Board constituted The candidate shall
submit a PH certificate issued by a Medical Board, comprising of at
least one Expert/Specialist from the specialty of Orthopedics of Medical
Board and obtain a valid disability certificate from the Medical Board
having been issued within three months prior to presenting his
application for seeking admission in any medical course by claiming the
benefit of reservation.
11. Reservation for local candidates:
11.1 85% of the seats in each local area shall be reserved for local candidates
and remaining 15% unreserved seats will be filed by applicants as
defined in regulation 12
11.2 DEFINITION OF LOCAL AREAS a) The part of the state comprising the districts of Adilabad, Hyderabad,
(including twin cities), Ranga Reddy, Khammam, Karimnagar, Medak,
Mahaboobnagar, Nalgonda, Nizamabad and Warangal shall be regarded as the
Osmania University Area. b) The part of the State comprising the districts of
Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West
Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam shall be regarded as Andhra
University Area.
c) The part of the State comprising the districts of Anantapur, Kurnool,
Chittoor, Cuddapah and Nellore shall be regarded as Sri Venkateswara
University Area.
NOTE: Candidates defined under 11.2 b,c are treated as Non-local
candidates. ,,
11.3 DEFINITION OF LOCAL CANDIDATES A candidate for admission shall be regarded as a local candidate in
relation to a local area.
a) If he/she has studied in educational institution or educational
institutions in such local area for a period of not less than four
consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which
he/she appeared or as the case may be, first appeared in the relevant
Qualifying Examination.

b) Where during the whole or any part of the four consecutive academic
years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or as
the case may be, first appeared for Intermediate Examination, he/she
has not studied in any educational institution, if has resided in the
local area for a period of not less than four years immediately
preceding the date of commencement of relevant examination in
which he/she appeared, or as the case may be, first appeared then
he/she becomes a local candidate.
11.4 A candidate for admission to the course who is not regarded as a local
candidate under sub regulation 11.3 above in relation to any local area
shall
a)If he/she has studied in educational institutions in the State for a period
of not less than seven consecutive academic years ending with the
academic year in which he/she appeared or as the case may be, first
appeared for the relevant qualifying examination be regarded as a local
candidate in relation to.
i) such local area where he/she has studied for the maximum period out
of said period of seven years.

regarded as local candidate in relation to i) such local area where he/she has resided for the maximum period out of
the said period of seven years, ii) Where the periods of his/her residence in two or more local areas are
equal such local area where he/she has resided last in such equal periods
Explanation – For purpose of this Sub regulation.
i) “Educational Institution” means a college, a school imparting education
upto and inclusive of tenth class, or other institutions by whatever name
called whether managed by Government, Private body, local authority or
University and carrying on the activity of imparting education there in
whether technical or otherwise and includes a Polytechnic, Industrial
training Institute and a Teachers Training Institute but does not include a
Tutorial Institution.
ii) Relevant qualifying examination for admission in to B.Sc., Nursing 4 yea’s
degree course of study means a pass in the examination, which is the
minimum educational qualification for admission to such course of study
Note: The relevant qualifying examination for admission to B.Sc.,
Nursing degree course being Intermediate or its equivalent
examination, the question whether candidate is a local candidate
or not will be determined with reference to the first appearance in
the Intermediate examination or equivalent examination even in
the case of an applicant possessing B.Sc or M.Sc. Degree.

iii) a) In reckoning the consecutive academic years during which a candidate
has studied, any period of interruption of his/her study by reason of her
failure to pass any examination, and;
b) Any period of his/her study in a State-wide University or State wide
educational institution shall be disregarded.
iv) The question whether any candidate for admission to any course of Study
has resided in any local area shall be determined with reference to the
places where the candidate actually resided and not with reference to the
residence of her parent or guardian. 11.5 While determining the number of seats to be reserved in favour of local
candidates under regulation 11.1 any fraction of a seat shall be counted
as one Provided there shall be one Unreserved Seat.
11.6 If a local candidate in respect of a local area is not available to fill any seat
reserved or allocated in favour of a local candidate in respect of that local
area, such seat shall be filled in as if it has not been reserved.
11.7 a)Applicants who claim to be local candidates with reference to regulation
11.3 (a) shall produce evidence in the form of study
certificate/certificates issued by the Heads of Educational
Institution/Institutions concerned, indicating the details of the year or
years in which the candidate has studied in educational institutions in
such local area for a period of not less than four consecutive academic
years ending with the academic years in which he/she appeared or as
the case may be, first appeared for the Intermediate examination or its
equivalent. Those who do not qualify as local candidates under sub
regulation 11.3 (a) but claim to qualify by virtue of residence under
regulation 11.3 (b) shall produce a certificate issued by an officer of the
Revenue Department not below the rank of a Mandal Revenue Officer in
the form annexed in G.O.Ms.No.628 Education, dated the 25th July,
1974, (appended to the application) b) Applicants who claim to be local Candidates under 11(4)(a) shall
produce evidence in the form of study certificate issued by the heads of
the Educational Institution / Institutions concerned indicating the details
of the year or years in which the candidate has studied in the
respective educational Institutions for a period of not less than seven
consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which
he/she appeared, or as the case may be first appeared for the
Intermediate Examination or its equivalent. Those who do not qualify as
local candidate under the regulation 11.4 (a) but claim to qualify by
virtue of residence under regulation 11.4 (b) shall produce a certificate
of residence issued by an officer of the Revenue Department not below
the rank of Mandal Revenue Officer in the form similar to that Annexed
to G.O.Ms.No.628, Education, dated 25th July 1974 with necessary
modifications (appended to the application).
12. The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply for admission to
the 15% of Unreserved seats: 12.1. All candidates defined under regulation 11.3 and 11.4. 12.2. Candidates who have resided in the State for a total period of ten
years excluding period of study outside the State or either of whose
parents have resided in the State for a period of ten years excluding
periods of Employment outside the State (Certificate to the effect

from a Revenue Official not below the rank of Mandal Revenue Officer
from where the candidate is claiming eligibility should be enclosed). 12.3. Candidates who are children of parents who are in the employment of
this state or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local
Bodies, Universities and other similar quasi public Institutions within
the State. (Certificate from the Head of the Institution/Department
should be enclosed). 12.4. Candidates who are spouses of those in the employment of this State
or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies,
University and Educational Institutions recognized by the
Government, a University or other competent authority and similar
other quasi Government institutions within the state. (Certificate
from the Head of Institution/Department should be enclosed).
13. Eligibility:
13.1 The candidates should be of Indian Nationality or persons of Indian origin
(P.I.O) / Overseas citizen of India (OCI) card holders and should satisfy the
local or non-local status in Andhra Pradesh (Residence requirement) as laid
down in Andhra Pradesh educational institutions (Regulations of admissions)
order, 1974 and the selection will be done as per the procedure laid down in
the G.O.P.No.646, dated 10-07-1979 as amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher
Education (EC2) Dept., dated 18-05-2009. 13.2 Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for 4YDC B.Sc., (Nursing)
course (The admission of Male Candidates will be as per the order issued in
G.O.Ms.No.306, HM&FW (K2) Department, dt.01-08-2006. The List of
Colleges admitting male candidates will be notified on the University
website during the counseling)
B.Sc., (Nursing) 4 YD Course: 1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31
st December of the year in
which admission is sought. 2. Minimum Education:
a. 10+2 Passed @45% aggregate of marks in science (Physics, Chemistry and
Biology) and English is compulsory subject in 10+2. b. 10+2 passed out from recognized board under AISSCE/ CBSE/ ICSE/SSCE/
HSCE/NIOS/TOSS or other equivalent Board with Physics, Chemistry and
Biology. c. Intermediate Vocational with Bridge Course in Biological and Physical
Sciences. d. Those who belongs to SC, ST and BC are eligible with 40% aggregate Marks
in the Science Group subjects (Botany, Physics, Chemistry and Zoology)as
per norms of Indian Nursing Council. 3. Students shall be medically fit. 4. Students shall be admitted once in a year (As per the G.O.Rt.No.1095, Health
Medical and Family Welfare (K1) Depart., dated.02.09.2013)
14. Merit List: Merit Lists will be displayed on the website of University
(http://ugknruhs.in) & University notice Board.

14.1 All the Applications shall be scrutinized thoroughly by the persons
authorized by University based on the Regulations of admission. The
scrutinizing persons are empowered to reject such of the applications
which are not following the requirements as per the Regulations of
admission or incomplete/defective subject to Regulation 4.6.1 & 4.6.2. 14.2 The merit list shall be prepared by the Under Graduate Admission
Committee appointed by University subject to these regulations. 14.3 The criteria for preparation of merit list (B.Sc.NURSING COURSE)
a) Total Percentage of marks obtained in Botany, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry and English in the qualifying examination upto two decimal
places. b) The candidates who qualify under compartmental system shall be placed
in the merit list after the candidates who passed in a single attempt. c) In case of equality of marks and aggregate percentage of marks, Age shall
be taken into consideration and the older candidates shall be given higher
place in the Merit List. d) In case of equality of marks, the aggregate percentage of marks in all
subjects of the qualifying examination upto two decimal places
15. PROCEDURE OF SELECTION:
15.1 Selection will be made by the Selection Committee appointed by Vice-
Chancellor, KNR University of Health Sciences. 15.2 Selections shall be made local area wise as per the procedure prescribed
in Annexure-III of G.O.P.No.646, Education (W) Dept. dated
10-7-1979, as amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education (EC2) Dept.,
dated 18-05-2009. 15.3 The Selection Committee is empowered to allot a candidate to any of the
Nursing College. 15.4 Selections will be made by the selection committee appointed by Vice-
Chancellor, based on the master merit list and Preference given by the
candidates at the time of selections / counseling.
15.5. Selection Schedule: Individual intimations will not be sent. : Merit
Lists will be displayed on the website of University
(http://ugknruhs.in) & University notice Board. The Candidates are
informed to download the merit order by entering the Application No.
DOB.

ANNEXURE – I
LIST OF B.SC., (NURSING) 4 YDC COLLEGES FOR THE YEAR 2016-17:
The list of the B.Sc., Nursing colleges along with number of seats under Competent
Authority will be notified separately.
Number of Seats to be filled under Competent Authority will be subject to issue of
affiliation orders by KNR University of Health Sciences, Warangal.
100% seats in Govt. colleges will be filled by KNRUHS under Competent Authority.
60% seats in private colleges will be considered for admission under Competent
Authority
40% seats in Private colleges will be under Management Quota and Managements
are permitted to fill the seats as per rules of University and Government of
Telangana.
