in a very short period of time. Awards were given to a lot of stu‐dents, which shows how many of the stu‐dents of ISAS are get‐ting high averages, or involved in the arts or sports. So if you work hard on anything, it is guaranteed that your hard work won’t go to waste, and you will be awarded!

On Thursday, 27th of October, our school held the Annual Aca‐demic Awards Cere‐mony. Many students from grades six to twelve got rewarded for their hard work, and those who didn’t were motivated to work harder to get the award next year. Awards were given not only for those with high averages, but also to students who par‐ticipated in sports pro‐grams, arts, and to
those who helped the school become a bet‐ter place and more like a second home. The students were awarded by Ms. Alia Lootah, an Al‐Mawakeb School graduate, who gave a speech to the students about the importance of the privileges our school is granting for those interested in arts. She also managed to show us a drawing which she drew in front of the students

entations, one can sense the impact of this information on their fellow class‐mates. Hopefully, these students will one day, be able to make a difference in this world.
Part of the ISAS mis‐sion and philosophy, is to “inspire charac‐ter development, leadership and global awareness”. Stu‐dents in grade 7 took one step toward achieving that goal, by raising awareness

Oliver Twist Actors Visit ISAS This is an urgent call for drama lovers to join us! Famous Oliver Twist play ac‐tress (Miranda) and director (Naim K.Z.) visited ISAS and talked to grades 5‐7 students about their show that would take place soon in Dubai. The students
simply enjoyed lis‐tening and asking questions to the fa‐mous artists. In their turn, the artists were glad to answer all questions and they shared some experi‐ences they've had while on stage. The fun didn't end here. (Miranda) and (Naim
K.Z.) enabled the stu‐dents to play several games, teaching them how to act, feel free moving on stage, and boost their creativity.

A few days prior to National Day, ISAS stu‐dents gathered to take part in a breathtaking dis‐play of a human UAE flag commemorating the 40th anniversary of this proud country . Kindergarten students came dressed in red; grades 1 to 4 came dressed in black, 5 to 8 dressed in white and
grade 9 to 12 donning natural greens of all shades. Together, the cul‐mination of these vibrant colors fused as students lined up, forming a large flag in our school’s parking lot. As the sunshine en‐gulfed the festivity and illuminated radiantly over everyone’s heads .
