ACCOMMODATIONSACCOMMODATIONS

DESTINYDESTINY is a three stateroom layout. As you enter from the starboard sideboarding door turning aft, you walk through a wing weather door and into thespacious and fully-covered cockpit, a signature feature of the Kadey-Krogenlineup. Being able to close the sea door, makes this a true extension of yoursaloon! The cockpit decking is teak and epoxied down. A large storage cabinetwith power inlets sits to the starboard side of the cockpit. A convenient hot &cold fresh water shower hose is enclosed in a compartment on thetransom. Exiting through the transom boarding door, Destiny's enlarged swimplatform features removable stern staples, mooring whips for the tender and aremovable bait tank.

Entering the saloon you pass through a Diamond SeaGlaze weather-tight door, thisis a double door (note all exterior doors are the top quality offering from thisbrand). The dinette is to starboard. The dinette is fitted with a high/low tablethat can be either a coffee table or opened up to provide a six seating dinnertable. This table is non-fixed and can be moved, but also fastened down foroperation as the expanded dinner function format.

To port are two Ekornes Lifestyle recliner chairs with ottomans and a buffet tablein-between. Behind is a TV system on a lift. Counters are granite in the saloon.This is a spectacular living environment and with the fully covered cockpit,opening up the saloon doors creates a space that is simply unequal in yachts ofher size.

The Galley is forward and to starboard. One of the most desirable features on theKrogen 58 is the Dutch galley door! The galley is outfitted with the top-of-the lineappliances (outlined in write up). Opposite the galley is the buffet with an icemaker below. Three deep drawers are provided and are fitted with adjustablepegboard sections for adjustable dish and pan storage. Another signature featureof a Kadey-Krogen! The pantry is forward of the buffet and there is storage inthe steps leading to the pilothouse.


This is a tri-level yacht, so proceeding down a four steps leads to the staterooms.To port a guest stateroom with an extendable lower bunk, and a desk on the afterside of the room. Forward is a hanging locker. The owners upgraded to largerport lights in the two guest staterooms, offering more ventilation and lightcompared to the standard. The door hardware is all Mobela. Also all doors andlockers are fitted with O-ring gasket material (signature feature again) to greatlyreduce noise transfer from room to room.

To starboard is the second guest stateroom fitted with queen-sized berth. Thisberth has a section that will lift to provide an enormous storage area and fittedwith gas struts for easy handling. Drawers are provided as well, hanging locker.This stateroom is adjacent to the guest head. And by the way, all drawers areequipped with stainless sliders - another signature feature on the Kadey-Krogens!Nice touch.

The guest head and separate stall shower is located just forward of the starboardguest stateroom. The counter top is granite. Toilets are freshwater flushingDometic by Sealand, top quality and quiet flush.

Across from the guest head is the Asko full sized washer & dryer in its own lockerwith louvered doors. The hallway walls have beautiful cherry wainscoting withhandholds.

Forward is the owners suite, with a standard queen-sized berth that also lifts toprovide an enormous convenient storage compartment. There are two largehanging lockers, a chest of drawers and large drawers at the end of the berth.Again all drawers are on stainless glide sliders. The owners head and separatestall shower is to port. Behind the door that provides access to the backside ofthe Asko washer/dryer is a full length mirror. Ventilation is unparalleled in thismodel with Lewmar Ocean Series hatches and opening port lights. The Lewmarhatches are fitted with OceanAir screens as well.

Below deck in the owners suite is the forward machinery locker and has twocollision bulkheads. In the hallway between the guest staterooms is the accesshatch to the midship machinery locker, providing access to the TRAC stabilizeractuators, fresh water tank and ships electrical systems.

Access to the engine room is through a walk-in full stand up Diamond SeaGlazeweather-proof door, another collision bulkhead. Aft lazzarette to engine room isyet another collision bulkhead and Diamond SeaGlaze weather-proof door.

The pilothouse is up five steps from the saloon and galley area. The Krogen 58pilothouse is the epicenter of Destiny. With two Stidd side-by-side helm chairs,provides an special seating arrangement for standing watch, a duty that can beshared and enjoyed! The pilothouse settee and dinette can be dropped to turninto a double berth, should the extra space be needed. Even much consideration


was given to the bridge layout for navigational electronics, instrument panels andmonitors. This is a very important area of focus that is many times overlooked.But on lengthy passages becomes of tremendous value. In the Krogen 58, thepilothouse is commodious and visibility is unparalleled in a comparably-sizedyacht!

Exterior decks; on the Portuguese bridge deck, there is a control center on thestarboard wing deck provided for ease of docking. Up forward of the Portuguesebridge, there are port and starboard seats with storage beneath. The foredeck iscompletely uncluttered and a joy to work upon. The stainless rails are tall andprovide a very sensible and safe environment for offshore movement. The heart ofthe anchoring system is a Maxwell horizontal windlass with a center capstan. Thisprovides for full functional dual anchoring. And to top off this ideal set up, thereis a high pressure hydraulic anchor washing system with a dual nozzle pointed atthe chain below the anchor platform!

Heading around the port side of the Portuguese bridge leads you up to the boatdeck and flybridge. Just to port of the steps leading up to the flybridge isa generous storage locker that spans the entire subfloor of the flybridge. Theflybridge has an L-shaped dinette to port and to starboard there are two Stiddhelm chairs at the bridge. The flybridge is topped with a yard-built hard top andthere are removable stairs that provide access to the hard top roof.

Aft of the flybridge is the summer kitchen with BBQ, sink, freezer and storage.There is a generous open area between the tender space and summer kitchen,providing for unparalleled entertainment space! Ideally designed for enjoyment atanchor.

The boat deck is fitted with a fuel storage tank for the tender, deckstorage lockers and propane locker. The Boston Whaler Super Sport 13 is stowedaft in a separated section on the after boat deck. There is an accessgate to provide to convenient entry into this area making maintenance needs abreeze.
