WELCOME TO 2013 KACE CLUB!

Why?KACE Club stands for Korean American Cultural Exchange Club.

Its purpose is promoting Korean culture and history in America and promoting American Culture and history in Korea.

Why KACE Club is needed.

1. To learn to respect other country’s culture

2. To broaden student’s knowledge on Korea

3. To appreciate American culture/Korean Culture more

4. To have fun!

Primarily, they want us to exchange American and Korean cultures and inform America about Korea!

Proofreading!!!! – important important

We will do a lot this year because this shows that we did work for ICI and we can get a card that is issued from Korean Government that we volunteered to inform Korea which is just huge.

Also, we can apply for grants but we have to have a proof that we worked. So this would be our primary evidence. The websites that we are going to use to proof read are

When you do that, write your first and last name first!!

Proofreading 2 articles would equal 1 hours. (One from Mariestory, one from History school from Multiculture) – It is mandatory. At least 2 articles every other week.

The more you do, the more chance that we can get grants and send students to Korea.

Also, it is truly cultural exchange because they talk about Korea in English and we are helping them by proofreading while getting educated.

SENDING STUDENTS TO KOREA

To do this, we absolutely have to show evidence that we did make cultural exchange.

It is going to be only selected few who have played active roles in KACE

ICI said that they are willing to fund up to 1000 dollars for our members.

The details about the camp and program will be discussed later.
