1 Precautions Before using the phone, please read the following instructions and follow them to avoid danger or violating the law. This manual contains detailed safety information. Traffic safety Don’t use your phone while driving; if necessary, park your car first. Switching off the phone in gas station At gas station or a place close to inflammables and chemicals, don’t use your phone. Switching off the phone while traveling by air While traveling by air, it is a must to switch off your phone; otherwise, you violate the law. Switching off the phone in hospital Please abide by relevant rules and regulations, don’t use your phone at the place which is in close proximity to medical devices (such as pacemaker and hearing aids). Interference Voice quality of all cellular phones will be influenced by radio interference. Using the phone properly Hold the phone close to your ear; don’t touch the antenna unnecessarily. Professional service Only qualified service man can install or repair the phone. Connecting to other device Before connecting the phone to other device, please read user manual of the device to acquire detailed safety instructions; don’t connect the phone to any unmatched product. Accessory Use the specified battery and accessories only; otherwise, the phone may be damaged. 2 Icon Description Icon Function Description

Signal strength The more lines, the stronger the signal; the icon appears on the display in standby mode.

Alarm clock on An alarm is set in on mode.

Battery level indicator The more blocks, the stronger the charge; the icon appear on internal display and external display in standby mode.

Unread message Appears when there is unread message in in-box.

Full messages (internal display) Appears when the in-box receives so many messages that there is no memory for new incoming message.

Normal environment Appears when the phone is set in normal environment mode.

Silent Appears when the phone is set in silent mode.

Conference environment Appears when the phone is set in conference environment mode.

In-car/Outdoor environment Appears when the phone is set in in-car/outdoor environment mode.

Earphone Appears when earphone is connected to the phone normally.

GPRS It indicates that GPRS data service is available for the phone. Such service is provided by network operator.

3 Before Using Your Phone 3.1 Fitting SIM card !·Please keep SIM card away from children. ·Any scratch or bending of SIM card may damage SIM card easily;

Therefore, pay special attention while inserting, removing or storing SIM card.

·Before removing SIM card, be sure power is off and remove the battery. Turn the phone to back side; unlock the latch and insert the SIM card into SIM card retainer, then lock the latch (as shown by the arrow). While fitting the SIM card, be sure that metal contact clip of SIM card is downward and the corner clip is at lower right corner (as shown in the figure).

3.2 Fitting the battery Put the battery at the back of phone, put the battery toward the bottom of the phone, insert the back cover and lock it in position (as shown by the arrow). 3.3 Removing the battery Turn the phone to back side, pull down the release latch to remove the back cover, lift up the battery and remove it from the phone. All settings or data saved in SIM card and the phone may be lost after you remove the battery. 3.4 Charging the battery Attach battery charger plug marked with an arrow to the charging slot at the bottom of the phone. After the connection of battery charger, the grid of battery level icon scrolls on the top right corner of the display. When the grid stops scrolling and battery indicator shows full grid, the battery is fully charged; press the button on the

two sides of charges to remove the plug. !·When the battery is in low capacity, alarm information appears on internal

display and the indicator shows no power. The phone will turn off automatically when the power is extremely low. Don’t keep the battery in low capacity for long time; otherwise, it will damage the battery and shorten its service life.

·Please use the specified battery charger to ensure that the phone works normally. 3.5 PIN PIN The PIN (Personal Identification Number) protects your SIM card against unauthorized use. Generally PIN is provided with SIM by network operator. If you input incorrect PIN for three consecutive times, the SIM card will be locked; input PUK code to unlock it; please contact network operator for details. PIN2 The PIN2 is also provided with SIM card by network operator because it is required to input the PIN2 to use some function (unit of accounting, fixed dialing number). If you input incorrect PIN2 for three consecutive times, the phone will be locked; it is required to input PUK2 code to unlock the phone; please contact network operator for details. PUK code To unlock SIM card, PUK code is required; Generally PUK code is provided with SIM card; otherwise, you should contact service provider to acquire PUK code; if you lose this PUK code, please contact service provider. 4 Basic Function Description 4.1 Turning the phone on 1. Long press red button to turn your phone on; then backlight is on and

instant animation appears. If SIM card is not installed or in poor contact; alarm prompt appears; press red button to turn off your phone, and re-install SIM card. !In case SIM card is not installed or in poor contact, your phone will not enter

menu mode, only emergency call is available. 2. In case SIM card is being protected by PIN, the prompt—“Input PIN”

appears; please input correct PIN and press left soft button to confirm. 3. In case that SIM card is locked, the prompt—input PUK code, will appear. 4. The phone will search network automatically after you turn it on. !When the phone has searched the authorized network, network name and

signal strength will appear on the display; in case the phone fails to search the authorized network, only emergency call or other non-communication function is available.

4.2 Inquiring IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) In standby mode, input “#*06#” and press green button or left soft button to

confirm and inquire IMEI. 4.3 Making a call In standby mode, use the numeric keys to enter the number, including necessary area code; press right soft button to cancel wrong input; after input, press green button to make the call. Press left soft button to confirm and enter menu option. Press upward/downward navigation button to select an option and perform function. ·Sending message Edit short message/MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) message and send it to the inputted phone number. ·Add to phone memory Add the inputted phone number to phone memory. ·Calling Call the number. 4.4 Reject incoming call Press red button or fold your phone to reject incoming call; when your phone flip is closed, long press up/down side button to reject the incoming call. 4.5 Answering a call When an incoming call arrives, you will be prompted in the following ways (vibrating, ringing, ect.); if the network supports caller ID function, the name or phone number of the caller will be shown on the display; you may answer the call in the following ways: When the phone flip is closed, slide the flip upwards to answer (To activate this feature, set the menu-> answer option-> slide the flip upwards to answer, set “ON”). When the phone flip is closed, press green button or left soft button to answer the call. 4.6 Adjusting volume In standby mode, short press up/down button on the left side of your phone, adjust voice volume (corresponding picture appears); adjust earpiece volume during a call by pressing up/down button on the left side of your phone. 4.7 Ending a call Press red button or slide the flip downwards to end a call; press red button or slide the flip downwards to cancel a call your dialed. 4.8 Emergency service You can directly dial emergency service number without SIM card. The emergency service number varies from different networks; please contact network operator for details. 4.9 Making international call To make an international call, first long press button “?” of numeric key to display “+” (“+” is a code for making international call); then enter country code, area code and phone number; press green button to make the call. 4.10 Extension number dialing After entering phone number, please long press button “*” till letter “P” appears on the display to input your extension number. 4.11 Missed /Answered/Dialed calls You can view number, relevant time and date of your recent missed/answered/dialed call in the following three ways:

·If you miss an incoming call, “calls unanswered” and the quantity of such calls appear on the display; press left soft button to display unanswered call list and press upward/downward navigation button to view it.

·In standby mode, press green button to display recent calls; press left soft button to enter the interface switching between recent dialed calls, missed calls and answered calls via pressing left/right navigation button; then corresponding prompt appears on the display, press upward/downward navigation button to select the call list (listed by the order of calling time).

·In standby mode, press left soft button to enter main function menu and select “Call List”; you may select sub-menu of miss calls, answered calls and dialed calls; press upward/downward navigation button to look into the number you need.

4.12 Call forwarding If the function of call forwarding is enabled, you can set forwarding condition (such as call forwarding unconditional, call forwarding if busy, call forwarding if no answer, call forwarding if unreachable); or the incoming call is forwarded to voice mailbox or other phone number. 4.13 Call waiting Once Call Waiting function is enabled, if an incoming call arrives while you talk over another call, call waiting information will be shown on the display; please subscribe to network operator for this function. You may select the following options: When you are talking over a call, another incoming call arrives, the following options to handle the incoming call appear on the display (call waiting function is enabled): ·Answer Hold on ongoing call and answer the incoming call. ·Busy Reject the incoming call. ·Answer the incoming call after ending the ongoing call, End the ongoing call and answer the incoming call. 4.14 Call restriction When call restriction function is enabled, call restriction will be performed according to the preset conditions (call out all, all incoming calls, incoming call while roaming, call out while roaming, call out while international roaming). 4.15 Hold on call During a call, press left soft button to confirm and enter option menu; press upward/downward navigation button to perform. ·Switch ·Phonebook Press left soft button to enter phonebook menu; please refer to Phonebook for operation details. ·Message Press left soft button to enter message menu; please refer to Message for operation details. 4.16 Switching off your phone In standby mode, long press red button to turn your phone off.

5 On Standby Interface Open the phone flip, long press red button to turn on your phone; then the backlight is on and instant animation appears; the phone is on standby interface.

Network name, signal strength, battery level, time, date and phone setting status are shown on the display. Please refer to standby icon description for details. Main menu is in left lower corner of the screen; press left soft key to enter main menu. The phonebook shortcut key is in right lower corner of the screen, press right soft key to enter phonebook menu. 6 Menu Structure 6.1 Menu shortcut key In standby mode, press left soft button to enter menu interface.

7.1 Missed call Show phone number list of your recent missed calls. Press upward/downward navigation button to view missed calls. When the number of missed call you need appears, press green key to dial out the number. You can check detailed information of the call after the number appears, then save, delete, dial, or send message to this number. You can also add this number to existing name, set as rejected number, or delete numbers of all missed calls. 7.2 Answered call Show phone number list of your recent answered calls. Repeat the aforesaid actions for missed call. 7.3 Dialed call Show phone number list of your recent dialed calls. Repeat the aforesaid actions for missed call. 7.4 Rejected call Show phone number list of your recent rejected calls. Repeat the aforesaid actions for missed call. 7.5 Delete all Delete all call records. 7.6 Call timing Press upward/downward navigation button to select last call, answered call, dialed call, all calls or reset call timer; press left soft button to confirm and show corresponding information. 7.7 Call charge Press upward/downward navigation button to select call charge, total charge limit, charge rate or reset call charge; press left soft button to confirm corresponding setting or display corresponding information. This function requires support of network operator. 8 Message This function enables you to send, receive, edit and save various kinds of message. This function requires support of network operator. 8.1 Write message You may use function to write message. - Message

Press left soft button to confirm the function—write message; enter the message to be sent, press left soft button to confirm and enter edit message option. Press upward/downward navigation button to select one option and perform. ·Send Press left soft button to confirm, then send new message by pressing left soft button after entering phone number. In case of failure in sending the message, the message will be stored in out-box automatically. ·Send message by batch Press left soft button to confirm and enter this option. Select “send message by group” to enter phonebook group list; if you select “send message in customized way”, you can enter multiple phone numbers one by one or select multiple numbers in phonebook, and then press left soft button to send new message by batch. After the message is sent by batch to all numbers, the prompt information “succeeded or failed” will appear; the message unsuccessfully sent will not be saved. ·Insert phrase in common use Press left soft button to confirm and enter phrase in common use option. Press upward/downward navigation button to select phrase you need; press left soft button to insert the selected phrase in your message. Phrase in common use is void. Press right soft button to return to previous menu. ·Save Save the edited message in draft box. ·Send and save Send and save the edited message in the message sent; in case of failure in sending message, the message will be saved in out-box. - Multimedia message Press left soft button to confirm; you may use this function to edit multimedia message.

Upward/downward navigation button: Move and select cursor Press left soft button to enter options and select: · Send Send the edited multimedia message; select phone number and Email address of the receiver. ·Send message by batch Send the edited multimedia message by batch. ·Edit multimedia message Preview: Play each page one by one. Edit topic: Edit the topic of multimedia message. Insert picture: Insert picture; support the picture in the following formats: GIF,

JPEG and WBMP. In case the current page has a picture, select whether replace the existing picture or not; select the picture file you need according the file list (if the list is void, corresponding prompt will be displayed).

Insert sound: Insert sound; support the audio file in the format of MIDI. In case that the current page has sound, select whether replace the existing sound or not; select the audio file you need according to the file list (if the list is void, corresponding prompt will be displayed).

Delete picture: Delete picture at current page. Delete sound: Delete the sound of current page. Insert a new page: If the current multimedia message does not exceed maximum pages (maximum 8 pages), you can insert a new page. Delete current page: Delete current page. Current page playing time: View the playing time of current page. Previous page: Go to previous page of current page. Next page: Go to next page of current page. ·Save Save the edited multimedia message in draft box. ·Send and save Send and save the edited message in message sent. 8.2 In-box View all messages you have received. While a new message arrives, the phone sends out prompt tone and the icon of unread message appears on top corner of the standby display. At this time, directly press left soft button to read new message, the latest information such as receiving time, date and sender’s phone number is shown on the display. You can enter in-box to read the message. After reading message, press left soft button to select one option and perform. - Reply to message Reply to message sender. - Reply to multimedia message Reply to multimedia message sender. - Forward

Forward the message you select to third party. - Pick up phone number Pick up the phone number of the sender. - Return call Make a call to the sender. - Delete Delete the selected message. - Delete all Delete all messages in in-box. 8.3 Message sent View message you have successfully sent in message sent; the message is automatically saved after you succeed in sending it. You can edit the sent message and send the edited message. It is required to enable the function of storing the message sent. Please refer to Message Setting for details. Press left soft button to read message(s) successfully sent; press left soft button to enter option menu, press upward/downward navigation button to move cursor and press left soft button to select one option and perform. - Forward Forward the selected message to third party. - Resend Resend the selected message. - Edit Edit the selected message. - Delete Delete the selected message. - Delete all Delete all messages sent. 8.4 Out-box View message(s) unsuccessfully sent. 8.5 Draft-box Save message(s) to be sent. 8.6 Message setting - Message setting

Application program and function which can be set in shortcut mode cover alarm clock, music player, game, phonebook, missed call, answered call, rejected call, write message, in-box, camera, video camera and ring selection. 13.8 Network selection This function enables you to manually or automatically select the network you need while the phone is roaming. You cannot use an outside network till there is a roaming protocol between the network you belong to and the network you want to use. - Automatic selection Press left soft button to confirm, then the phone will search different networks automatically, which enables the phone to register in the most proper network automatically. - Manual selection Press left soft button to confirm, then the phone starts to search all usable networks; select suitable network from all usable networks listed. 13.9 Security setting Use PIN, PIN2, power-on password and anti-theft function to protect different functions of the phone. - PIN Enable/Modify/Disable PIN. Enable/Modify/Disable power-on password (the password comprises of 4-8 digits). If “Power-on Password” is enabled, it is required to enter password while the phone is turned on. If you want to modify power-on password or disable “Power-on password”, enter option Modify/Disable to perform. - Anti-theft function Enable/disable this function and modify the password (the password comprises of 6 digits). When this function is enabled, your phone can only use the bound SIM card bound; if different SIM card is used, the phone will automatically authenticate whether the SIM card is the bound one; if not, it is required to enter password. If the password is correct, you may select to re-bind phone and SIM card. If incorrect password has been entered for three times, your phone will automatically send alarm message to the preset number every 24 hours after your phone is switched on; if your phone is switched off, it will send alarm message while it is on; the alarm message will show the SIM card used by your phone and corresponding cell number. If the phone has sent alarm message for 15 times, the phone will not work till the phone is unlocked with the presence of purchase voucher to distributor. !To ensure the security of the phone, it is suggested to enable this function

22 Care & Maintenance Battery care and maintenance · The chargeable battery provides power for the phone; when the power is

low, please charge the battery; to ensure a longer service life of the battery, it would be better to use up the power before charging.

· When the charger is not in use, please disconnect it from power source; don’t connect charger to battery for over one week because overcharging will shorten the service life of the battery.

· Temperature may influence charging; therefore, cool or warm the battery for a while before charging; if the temperature of the battery is over 40ºC, it is impossible to charge the battery.

· Apply the battery to original use to avoid short circuit. When conductive material directly connects to the positive and negative poles of the battery, it will cause short circuit.
