CRACK REPAIR MORTAR
DESCRIPTION K5 CRACKSEAL is an easy to use, high strength crack mortar, which ensures perfect filling of cracks and will not allow water penetration. The mix designs include special shrinkage compensation components which will ensure the perfect bond on both the sides of the cracks.
USES
• Repair and replace thin sections of damaged concrete • Repairs will protect steel element • Repair thickness may be in the range 10mm to 40mm for each Application • Areas of repairs include floors, walls, columns and beams
ADVANTAGES
• Dense and cohesive mortar will not allow water penetration. • Site use only requires the addition of water to produce the repair mortars which have good
freeze-thaw stability. • Non shrink, non metallic. • High structural strength • Gives high strength. • The products are chloride free and may be used in contact with steel elements.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
SURFACE PREPARATION :
Chip out the crack in 'V' grove & clean all the debris & loose particles & prewet the surface. The prepared surface should be free from oil, grease etc.
MIXING :
Mix 700 ml of water with 5 Kg of K5 CRACKSEAL, will give you mortar consistency & fill up the K 5CRACKSEAL mortar into the cracks.
CURING :
Initial curing should be started after 2 hours and continue upto 3 days Alternatively, KCURE C - (A Curing Compound) should be applied to avoid the water curing. PRIMER : Normally Primer is not required for K5 CRACKSEAL, but for exceptionally porous surface CEMPATCH PRIMER - (A Polymer base primer) is recommended for better bond.

DESCRIPTION
K SCREED MICRO is supplied as a ready-to-use, blend of dry powders which requires only the site addition of water to produce a free flowing, non-shrink repair micro concrete. The materials is based on Portland cements, graded aggregates, fillers and additives which impart controlled expansion characteristics in the plastic state while minimising water demand. The low water requirement ensures high early strength and long-term durability, For larger repairs, the mixed K SCREED MICRO may be modified by the addition of 12 mm clean, graded, saturated, surface dry aggregates at site. SURFACE PREPARATION : The unrestrained surface of the repair must be kept to a minimum. Defective concrete surface must be cut back to a sound base. Smooth surface should be mechanically roughed. Corroded reinforcement should be exposed around its full circumference and remove all loose scale and corrosion deposits. Apply one coat of SAFECORE R to the exposed reinforcement. If any discontinuity in the applied film is noticed, one more coat has to be applied. The concrete substrates should be saturated with water. Prior to immediate placing. Free water should be removed and prime the substrate using K BOND EP, a slow setting epoxy bonding aid. K BOND EP shall be applied on dry substrate. FORMWORK : Formwork should be leak-proof when subjected to hydraulic pressure imposed by the micro concrete will be fabricated and erected where necessary, provision will be made for air vents to prevent air entrapment, drainage outlets for presoaking. Formwork should be coated with SHUTRELEASE, mould releasing agent prior to fixing.

MIXING AND PLACING : Care should be taken to ensure that K SCREED MICRO is thoroughly mixed. K SCREED MICRO mix in suitably sized drum with a torque (400-500 RPM) rotary drill fitted with a mixing paddle. Where the addition of graded aggregate has been specified it should be added after the water and K SCREED MICRO are properly mixed. PLACING : The mixed material should be placed immediately. If placed by pump, standard concrete pumping should be followed. CURING : Curing should start within 2 hours and minimum curing time should same as that for concrete (7 days) as a cementitious material. Low temperature: In cold conditions down to 15oc, the use of warm water (up to 30oC) is advisable to accelerate strength development.

K SCREED PR POLYSTER RESIN BASED REPAIR MORTAR
DESCRIPTION KSCREED PR is supplied as two component factory batched products. Component one is a polyester resin and component two is a catalysed filler specially designed to both fill and harden the resin mortar. Mixing of the two components produces a rapid setting compound, the consistency of which may be altered by adjusting the resin to filler ratio.
USES For rapid, bedding, jointing and profiling of concrete brickwork, repair or damaged concrete and pre cast units, repair of damaged arises and stair treads ; jointing between pre-cast units ; protection or reinforcement ; fixing and bedding copings, kerbs, manhole covers, door and window frames.
ADVANTAGES Rapid strength gain results in material strength higher than good quality concrete within two hours. Repaired sections are ready for use within two to three hours. The product is cost effective, as the allowing of part pack mixing has been designed into the product. Only the amount required for the job in hand needs to be mixed. KSCREED PR has good adhesion to most construction materials and is chemically resistant to a wide range of chemicals.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Surface Preparation Remove laitance and all loose material including dust, oil and grease to achieve a sound substrate. MIXING : The HARDNER and BASE components shall be thoroughly mixed, preferably by mechanical means. Mechanical mixing is preferable. The use of a slow speed electric drill and Mortar Stirrer is recommended. Mixing should be continued until a uniform colour is achieved.
1
Placing Always use clean equipment, Ensure that the resin mortar is trowelled firmly into place to obtain good adhesion. In the case of very dense or non-absorbent substrates, the mix should be made slightly resin rich to ensure that the surface to be bonded is wetted out. Curing No special curing practice is required.
PACKING KSCREED PR is supplied in 7.5 kg packs. A 7.5 kg pack of KSCREED PR sufficient for 0.75 m2 @10mm thickness.
SHELF LIFE 6 months storage life when stored in original unopened container at between 5 ºC to 45 ºC in a dry and shaded place.
HEALTH & SAFETY K SCREED PR is non-hazardous. It should not be swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin or eyes. Suitable protective goggles and gloves should be worn. In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately, do not induce vomiting.
