On the weekend of April 30- May 1,thousands gathered at Drake Stadium at theheart of UCLA to participate in the 8th annual

Relay for Life.Throughout the 24 hour event people

walked laps around the track, tossed frisbeesaround, sold merchandise to fundraise, andhung out with friends, but no matter whatthey were doing everyone had a commoncause: to help ght the terrible disease calledcancer.

UCLA Circle K had its own team at Relayonce again, and successfully rose over $900dollars for the ght against cancer. Fromthe touching opening ceremonies-when

each cancer survivor introduced themselvesthrough the very serious and sombeluminaria ritual, and all the way to the closingceremonies and nal lap

UCLA Circle K had a team member presenand on the track. Some members even madthe commitment to stay for the entirety of theevent.

Social Chair Theresa Phan organized acapture the ag game at night, and paspresident Grace Cecilio, and members MinhLe and Jennifer Luong dressed in fruicostumes to keep people energized late intothe night and early in the morning, showingthat Circle K, as always, knows how to doservice and have fun!

Hello TurKeys! First off Id just like to say congratulations onan amazing 2010-2011 year. You all really showed how awesomeUCLA Circle K is at DCON will all the awards, from distinguishedofcers, to most spirited, and of course, the Hall of Fame. It was agreat pleasure of mine to work with you all as your Lieutenant Gov-ernor this past year, and you all made my job incredibly easy! Now,

its time for an even greater year and I have nothing but pure con-dence in the new board as well as the rest of the club as they starttheir journey to another successul Circle K term. UCLA Circle K isfull of great leaders, and I know that under President Neil Yonzonand Lieutenant Governor Jonjon Junpradub, you all are destined forgreatness! Go Bruins!
