Balance - Not falling for Either

Good is not Final, Bad is not The End, Neither Last, They are Always Together!

Libra is signified by the scales of balance. Gemini is related to balance because of it's ability to consider things. Aquarius, with it's detached view and dry logic, can see that lust is useless. Hence the air signs are very supportive of balance, which makes giving that symbol to the middle air sign, the one at the bottom of the zodiac, the original descendent, the natural choice, for it is right in the middle, supporting the Taurus to Virgo side, against the Scorpio to Pisces side.

Balance, being in the middle, weighing things evenly, staying straight up, not falling either right or left, staying middle ground promotes Justice, Truth, Wisdom.

Balance, it's elusive, it's hard to get. We tend to fall for things, because we think the grass is greener "over there", and off we go, falling and doing a face plant. Then we get up, go the other direction wildly, and do the same thing over there. In this way, back and forth we go, until on that subject, we finally achieve "balance".

Balance is a sign of maturity therefore, something that comes with age, like Vatta, the wind element, becomes more prominent with age, hence with age our hair gets finer, we get wrinkles and thinner, wiry, dry. These are all things of Vatta, going towards Saturn, going towards higher things actually, becoming aware, finer, leaving attachment, leaving

the Earth element, finally, altogether, off we go, free at last, to start again, to try again.

So, balance is to be achieved, lauded, applauded. It’s up there.

All things in this world come with their opposites attached, because nature knows to stay in constant balance. This is how things work, by a careful balance. When we are able to feel the surges or waves of nature under our surf board bodies, we can ride the waves of life well. If we cannot sense the waves, or do not want to, deny the waves, or fear the waves, in all these cases we will not feel them correctly, and we will fall, and have to try again.

If we see that we are on the waves, and cannot but be on the waves, and that they have their own ways, and we must ride them only, then we can ride, ride well, and reach the shore, and not have to try again.

In our selves, and our societies, and our civilizations, only balance will suffice, to guide us along. If any of these organisms are imbalanced, then they will have to feel the "righting" of their imbalance, for nature will force this to come, to correct the imbalance.

So only in balance, can we have peace, for with imbalance, we will always have to changing, due to the adjustments, and that means great loss, and starting over.

So, balance means to not favor one thing over it's opposite. Balance is accepting that all things have their opposites with them, and you cannot

push the opposite to shadow, or it will come screaming out for justice, like a horror movie monster suddenly appearing to collect back taxes.

Balance

takes more work, but leads to more stability. The net effect of this over time is less action but finer circumstances. In Vedic terms it's called "Sattva Guna", or the mode of goodness, or purity. The mellow and way of purity, the state of purity.

It is said in Hindu scriptures in general, that there is a time in the repeating cycle of Yugas or ages, when things are Sattvic on Earth and in the Universe overall, and that time is one of the four main ages, and it is first in the cycle, it is most like Spring, all beings are good, fresh, competent, enlightened, and in balance with God and nature.

Lust is the urge that causes action which makes imbalance become realized in matter in our lives. So the Vedic lifestyle teaches in it's primer stages things that help the human to learn to control it's body and willing, it's intellect, and it's mind, it's most formidable enemy.

The mind is so dangerous because it can so easily stray into the land of envisioning nonsense fairy-tale hopes, wishes and wants, impossibilities and illusions, affecting our feelings and intellect, temporarily or long term. The mind is powerful, and potentially rampant. Therefore it is signified with the moon, quick moving, highly apparent, fickle, quick, powerful, controlling of waters and emotions, or messages that flow through us.

Balance, sensibility, right thinking, truth, these things take careful thought, not fickle thought. Our thoughts have to be tempered, balanced, right, otherwise, they're wrong. Imbalanced literally means to "fall for one side of the element", or, to fall for one side of a story, only half the story, only one truth, not the full

truth... staying balanced in imperative for good living.

Most things that happen in major cities on a daily basis, that end up in the courts, were done while "imbalanced" on alcohol. Alcohol takes away our ability to sense nature around us, covered earlier, hence, alcohol is a great promoter of imbalance, and thus causes much distress in human society. It is not taken by those who wish to stay balanced, or not in constant or great measure.

Astrology is, in one sense, reading a persons particular imbalances, because where the planets are in the charts, basically show inclinations and emphasis, in various specific directions, and those are inherent imbalances, which we live out, and this is how the drama of this world, and hence it's lessons upon us, are driven and carried out. The game or the matrix is the teacher, and we are the spectator student subjects of it's machinations upon us, which we willfully will perfectly, as per our roles, the willing also matching the script, the pondering

too, the trip being

the awareness

that we are here, and

that we are

Watching

this matrix, while in it. That

is self awareness, and is a great

source of inner peace, and our

only traveling companion at times

like death; times when, no matter

how hard you try, you just can't

seem to get any other friend to

come along.

The Chart of

Barack ObamaSo, here is the Chart of Barack Obama, with the current

transits over it. First is up, then counter clockwise 2 to 12.A couple things pop out to me. Firstly, Jupiter goes into his

first in transit around the time of the election, that’s a big yes in his direction for election. I'm only worried that the transit of Mars and Saturn in the 8th simultaneously whilst a node transits first also, is a great amount of negative energy on the health and life. But alas, I guess to be making history, and running for president, is just pretty stressful, I think we can safely say that.

It looks good for him. He is in his Gaja-Kesari like dasha, Jupiter Moon, and those two are in trines, Moon exalted, well wow, this is not surprising for a dashing candidate making history running for president. That's reassuring to me though..imagine if Barack Obama’s chart had NO nice stellar stuff, that would be weird. If would be weird if Bill Gates did NOT have that massive Laksmi Yoga, but he DOES, so all is well with the universe!

So while I'm relieved that BO's chart has at least some stellar stuff, to help us to keep the faith in Jyotish, am I also saying he's going to win?

My current position on that matter is this: Psychically, my personal impression is that he is going to, based on how I feel it going down right now in America. I hear the news and see imagery, and my senses tell me he will win, McCain will lose...that's my current psychic feeling. It's my intuition. It's not based on astrology, it's based on my total perception.

About his chart, his person: I can feel good about a person who is Cap rising with Saturn there. That's a respectable placement. Jupiter in the first is almost always good, and although

"debilitated" here, I would still take it, I still respect it, so that is fine.

The Moon in the 5th in Taurus is also very respectable of course. This is a very fine placement and has no blemishes. This is important in making a person real strong minded. It's important it not be kemadrum, which it is not, it is part of a nice garland opposing the lagna, which is part of many famous charts.

The militaristic fighter aspects of his eighth house are good for what he does, but not something I'm personally interested in. The level of diplomacy that some can handle is higher than others, and lawyers and politicians both need to be willing to fight endless battles of wit, will and diplomacy, lying and manipulating, to the death, endlessly, on so many fronts, personal and career, public and private, it's an endless jockeying for position, employing large amounts of withheld information (lying by omission), and those of us with really strong ninth houses don't do that so well.

Sun and Mercury in the 7th are generally supportive of being in politics, involved with government, this is a basic placement that is favorable for his line in life.

The way BO solves debt problems is by candy from overseas...sweet deals from foreign sources, will help him to make America feel better...that's not real progress, but it may very well happen. The selling off of America, basically, will make things temporarily sweater here. This I read from Venus in sixth, and it's lord in seventh in Cancer. Venus in sixth, as Yoga Karaka, is one of his stronger powers, charm, sweetness, savvy, slick, good appearing, well, when good benefics are in the sixth, the person is involved in helping with problems of debt, disease, enemies, in the







fashion of Venus, that is, by things that are sweet and nice, refined, well thought out, nicely done, but, they are sweet, not necessarily really healthy, but tasty at first, or on the surface, like sugar, but later, that's another story.

The lord of Venus is in Cancer in the seventh, and I know that Cancer implicates the ocean, on a large scale way of thinking about Jyotish, and Mercury is deal making, messages, transactions, the Sun is governments, seventh is relationships, so basically, he's an international dealmaker who solves problems with sugar related to these international deals. The deals will further involve beef, agriculture, things related to an abundant rural or agricultural aspect, with Moon in Taurus, the deals will involve basic commodities in both directions.

He will bring milk to schools, that's for sure. Milk for school kids is totally a Barack Obama poster, with Moon in Taurus in the 5th, or, Mother-Cow-Children. His wife, represented in his chart by the Moon, is the perfect Moon, a really good example of Motherhood, or at least in his mind, in his feelings, and in his chart, it's true, his wife is a good mother, a good teacher, an excellent example, just an all around great personality. That's what Moon in Taurus in the fifth means about the wife. It's a great placement for his chart to have, as any indicator for his wife as "first lady" of this huge nation.

Ketu in the second makes speaking a challenge. He probably works exactly to control his speaking, more than we know. Ketu in the second can lead to great speaking, inspirational, but also, misunderstood, and seen as too intense, causing the perception of being an outcaste, too far outside the norm.

The way his preacher friend was misunderstood across America is a good example of Ketu in the second coming out around him at an early stage. You can't take statements from a sermon at a "Black Church" and put them out in sound bytes. It doesn't work that way

with that form of inspirational speaking. So that leads to misunderstanding. To understand, we have to first correctly perceive. When Ketu is in the second, he can indicate speaking which is too far outside the norm for common acceptance, so probably, at times, we will see Barack Obama speaking and being greatly called out regarding things he says.

His split parentage gives him a problem in his root. I see this from Mars in 8th on edge of sign, as lord of 4th. 4th is our root, and 8th is our other root, the kundalini base chakra area, and there he has Mars and Rahu, the foreigner, and the 4th lord together. I see the intensity of these two planets combined there, as both powerful, and a bit weakening. That area is stressed, but highly malefic, like a weapon, he has fire at his base which is very intense. There, in his base, the fire mix is part foreigner, and part root, this is the split he feels deep inside, and it drives him forward.

I would dare to say, whether he knows it or not, that his root drive in life is to stop this particular itch, which he feels deep inside, which is some type of identity problem. I think he wants to very strongly feel rooted, for there he actually has problems. In that way, he is like many Americans. All those who are not the perfect norm, feel somewhat compatible with someone who is hard to define. Many of us, like him, are not defined well by our genetics, for those may be very far off, from the reality we live in as Americans. He is like the unknown soldier- he is the unidentified American, and his 8th house shows this crisis of identity at his base chakra, or in

his very genetics. In this way he

represents us, the

melting pot, the

culturally lost and

undefined, Americans.







Judge not, unless you are one!

Jupiter in Sagittarius, Judgement Day

These days Jupiter is in Sagittarius, ninth sign, the sign of dharma, duty, beliefs, god, guru and a whole bunch of other really high things. This is Jupiter's turf, he's as happy can be, for this is his favorite number, 9, and that's this house, this sign, he's in strength, he's the karaka, he totally rules this domain, this high place.

He has a higher place...Pisces, but that's private it's so high...it's like heaven, really high. That's why people with significant placements there seem high!

Moving right along, everything about Jupiter in Sagittarius makes it therefore the place that co-significates most strongly that which we call "the judge".

Our concept of Judge, a person steeped in legal training, who is supposedly a good person themselves, a good citizen, an excellent, intelligent,

citizen, with the training and capacity personally to preside over our courts, to make rulings, keep order, and ultimately, pass judgements.

Recently on "Oprah", a TV Show in America, a famous Doctor regular of the show said regarding being a doctor around the subject of death, something like "at those times the doctor is really there not to heal really, but to bring order to the naturally chaotic situation".

Doctors and Jupiter are related, as they are the higher citizens of our societies, and have much higher learning. Higher learning is ruled by the ninth, along with religion, books, professors, colleges, long distance travel, teachers, gurus, and so on. Doctoring and being a Religious are related in that they are both 9th house, and ultimately, they are both about leading, healing, helping, bringing order to the chaos, which takes, making judgement calls.

When doctors are in war zones, they have to quickly judge who is savable, and who is not, a life and death decision, sometimes done repeatedly in one day. A huge burden of training, self belief, firm

roots, and a strong head and heart. At the very top of the legal system, the judge represents the whole legal system. The higher the judge, the closer that person is to being a God in that society, for they make the laws, and incarcerate offenders to the laws. They ultimately are the heads of our whole legal system. The judges make and dispense our laws to us, for us.

So every twelve years, there is a year when Jupiter is in Sagittarius, and that year is now. If you think about American history for the last 12 years, you roughly get this:

So here we are, about to elect the first black man to the presidency. Judgement? Oh yes. You see, collectively America did this: Gee, this dashing democrat disgraced. So the RIGHT put in their man, BARELY, with a fat, possibly illegal nudge, and we've suffered so we all feel, collectively, yeah, it's pretty dominant, a feeling of barely being able

to wait for a replacement, especially a big change...

So yes, we see Saturn in Leo, aspected by Jupiter from Sagittarius. This means that we collectively judge the dark one in the high place to be fine. The mere fact that Jupiter is in Sagittarius aspecting Saturn means that Saturn is getting the golden glow of high approval.

The mood in the country, will be like the womb in which it is nurtured, as always. Since the sky co-signifies right now that there is a golden glow of righteousness, so all will be seeking that, all humans will be aligned with that energy, and each in their own ways, will be aligning with that, aligning with Jupiter in Sagittarius depending on their personal relationship with that energy.

It's as if God is on Earth, it has that resonance, but it happens every twelves years, then it also goes to Pisces and Cancer, which give it similar but different powers, and so in one sense, this comes every four years or so. But this particular flavor of Jupiter, that of Sagittarius, is every 12, like every other sign, as Jupiter goes roughly one sign per year.

Right now American's are ready to pass judgement. One way or the other, when Jupiter is in Sagittarius, people get judgmental, because it's that time. It's time to decide, what is "right" or how you feel about "what is right". It's a time when divisions will rise, because people will be feeling strongly about their stance on matters. Or, they may be annoyed that others are taking up positions. One way or the other, the mood of judgement touches all of us.

If you look around, you will see these days, news where "a stand had to be taken", and "we were forced to take a position", or "it was decided in favor of...by the courts", and "the legal system was overhauled...", or "new judges were appointed". etc

Watch for things about Jupiter's high allotment of significations and you will see how they are in this way, these days, a reformation of the higher departments around you, with an emphasis on outcastes coming to power, people previously down, coming up, the low taking over, the ones darkened by previous positions, coming more up, more into the open, coming out, into the daylight, and being seen, being heard, in places of power. This is caused by the combination of Saturn in Leo, and Jupiter in Sagittarius, and the aspect of Jupiter upon Saturn at this time. The unfortunate side of Saturn in Leo, gets three short sentences: Corruption will come to power. That too, has to happen. Saturn brings dirt. Watch for new corruption. Oil in Iraq?


Mars in Cancer

in America, because Mars was transiting the natural fourth house, and Mars is cops, police, and the

4th is Real Estate

Ketu is a noose, likened to be sentenced to death, and I know there is a crisis, and those two planets are there, so I just know to predict that the police are investigating the disaster. It's obvious from the planets and the facts of life in this country.

I thought that when Mars reached Leo, then we would hear them come out about their investigations, but it's already happening, as I started to first hear about it yesterday on the

news. Large companies involved in the mortgage crisis are going to be prosecuted.






What happens when the Reds gets the Blues?

Oh yeah, lets talk MORE about Saturn in Leo. After all, it WILL be awhile before it happens once it stops. So lets enjoy the oxymoron before our eyes whilst we can, in all it's twisted wonder.

In a Kingdom with a depressed King, things begin to show it. At first it wasn't apparent, but over time, because of the neglect that automatically occurs, it becomes apparent to everyone that somebody at the top is not doing their job, because things are not being tended to.

When Saturn is in Leo, as it is now, on a big scale, one thing this means, is that people see, the the King has lost it, that things are out of control, because criminals can run in the streets, the workers are so unhappy they are storming the castle, so to speak. These are just images caused by knowing the energies signified by "Saturn in Leo".

Saturn rules Blue and Black. When you get all beat up, you get black and blue, so to speak, you get bruises. People

refer to being depressed as "getting the blues". The genre of American music known as "The Blues", is predominantly thought of as being linked to "down and out" or "poor and sad". These again are Saturnine significations.

So Saturn rules the Blues, and when Saturn is in Leo, which is the High Court of the King, the Office of the Sun God, then this means that the King has Got Mr. Blue right in his office. It's like Muddy Waters in the Oval Office! (Muddy Waters was known as an "old black blues man" in America and the oval office is where the president works in the capital of the US.)

In fact, picture Muddy Waters with his band, and all their alcohol and cigarettes, cigars, weed, whatever, and their language, and their ways, and put them all in the oval office playing a full blues set, just like they would in a bar.

Now picture the people who normally run the oval office, and picture them having a topsy turvy panty twisting heart attack as they try to hurry these low citizens out of the oval office...before the cameras get pictures of it, lord the disgrace!

This is reality. I mean, not ALL of America is welcome in it's CHIEF OFFICE... NO WAY. Not at all. In fact, you have to QUALIFY BIG TIME before you can work there. It's no "low place". It's all wrapped up in Mars and Jupiter, many miles thick, so to speak.

So Saturn doesn't get to go there.

But so this is a grand time, every 30 years, when the energies run amuck in this particular way, and things at high places get turned over.

It's all because, the boss got the blues.

The Emperor was whacked by Mr. Big, Saturn, the big, steel, ball. Whack.

Transits of the

Lagna

Seal the DealI often check to see if the lagna, the

ascendent, is on a key spot in my chart or the chart of someone known to me, when something significant happens to them or me. And sometimes I check mine when little things happen. I see results.

(The lagna or ascendent is the point in the zodiac that you see if you look straight east into space from where you are at any moment, so where you are on earth determines the lagna, as looking east from one side of the earth produces one result, and from the opposite side of the earth at that moment produces a view of the opposite side of the zodiac.)

The ascendent is the fastest moving body in astrology. It sweeps at one degree every 4 minutes roughly. That's how it does teh zodiac of 360 degrees in 24 hours.

The lagna is "pointing at" some point in the zodiac always, and it moves fast, so it sweeps ALL the points of your chart every 24 hours, or each day, every point in your chart is pointed at, and every point in the zodiac is pointed at.

So the question is, do they make sense? Is there a logic to when mundane things happen around you, and the degree

the ascendent is pointing at, at the moment of an event? Is there something to that if you look?

Well, yes, absolutely, and you will believe me when you look for yourself regularly enough to become convinced, and when more and more people see that, then it will change the discussion about how reality is really working.

Until then, you be special! Like me! Be the first to know that the universe is in sync with itself, and thus events match planetary type angles like the ascendent!

Like, a guy writes to me, and asks me to email him some screen shots of his chart. He emails me that two days ago.

Today I go to do it, and I do it, After sending them, I looked at the transit chart I had JUST MADE for him with the current transits from right now in our town where he and I live. The lagna right now, when I made his charts, was exactly on his natal lagna. The moment, was about him, or people just like him. It could have been any other of the 360 degrees, but no, it was right on his degree.

Other times, I see the lagna on a persons moon degree, or on one of my planets or house midpoints...that is, the exact reflection of a degree of my lagna, sun or moon, mainly lagna and moon, is some other house, like the degree of my lagna, but in my sixth, say, when I'm dealing with a debt or payment situation. Or, on the fourth house cusp when dealing with housing, or right on the 5th when my first child calls, etc.

If I find the lagna on a planet of mine, that planet is the key element at play right now, like, Saturn for work or an obstacle, Jupiter for blessing or expansion, Moon for basics, mind or emotions, and so on.

No matter what though, I always find the lagna is right on some point, when something noticeable happens, even small but clear things, are noticeable in my transits of the lagna.

So I highly suggest you watch them and see, that the universe is working like a clock, or is it that our clocks are working like the universe?

LAGNA:The lagna is the ascendent, or the point in the zodiac that we see if we look directly east at any given moment. Looking over our local eastern horizon, and on out into space, the point in the zodiac our vision points at, is the lagna, or the rising point, the sign it is in, is the rising sign, also called Lagna. (say lug-nut without the t)

MORE 4TH HOUSE PAINLast week I talked about the negative effects of Mars and Ketu in the 4th sign, which is the first water sign, and is related to oceans. I talked about the typhoon in Burma, the Earthquake in China. Now add the floods in middle America. They are record breaking on 25 to 100 to 200 year flood record levels. These are huge floods, in the middle of America, greatly affecting many thousands of homes, and greatly affecting food prices into the future, another basic staple, like housing.

Fortunately Mars leaves Cancer soon, so the two bad guys won't be working together. We could use the break in the action. This action film has gone on long enough.
