➲ Uses special x-ray equipment to produce multiple images or pictures of the inside of the body

Pros vs. Cons

➲ Good things:

➲ Painless and accurate (more than x-rays)

➲ Fast and simple➲ Less expensive

than MRI's.

➲ Not So Good Things:

➲ Slight chance of cancer via radiation.

➲ Risky for pregnant mothers

➲ very obese may not fit into opening of a CT unit
