TRACK A: Crime and Criminology

– Focus is on the nature, causes and solutions for the crime problems

– Provide an understanding of those behaviors that we have defined as criminal or deviant and how we respond to them

– Primarily focused on U.S. at the national level

TRACK B: Justice and Policy in a Global Context

• Brings normative concerns to examination of major problems in international arena

• Topics covered include international law, national security, human rights, war & peace, environment, cross cultural relations

TRACK C: Social Justice

• Looks beyond “crime” to also examine broader context within which people exist

• Deal with problems such as exploitation, poverty, environmental destruction
