Just think of everything with which Satan tempted Jesus in thedesert; power, fame, worldly glory, material riches, pleasure and soon. He tempts us with these temporary gratifications all the time.Meanwhile Christ the King makes it clear that following him will bedifficult. His subjects are certain to face trials and persecutions, andsuffer for their loyalty to him.Yet which king will make us happy? The short-term gratifications ofthe king of Earth are illusions. They do not lead to lasting joy orpeace, but rather to loneliness, emptiness, misery and ultimately tohell. We are children of God, made in his image and likeness. Only inhim will the deepest longings of our soul be satisfied. Give your life toChrist the King, who lives and reigns now and forever.********************************************************************************

This year, our goal is$19,453.00.
