Just Like Us( A Short Story)

Germs are like us in many ways. Germs belong to a family residing in an over populated community.

There is a difference though… Germs are so minute.

Without the microscope, germs can not be seen

One million of them could sit on the head of a pin.

Just like us, germs are alive and there are many types of them.

Germs could be round, elongated, or spiral.

Being alive, they eat foods. Their favorites are foods rich in protein that support life.

Of course, germs give off waste products and this is a poison to human beings if ingested.

Just like us, if germs are supplied with food, water and warm temperature, germs grow and reproduce by simply dividing in half.

In order to grow and multiply, germs also require time. They divide themselves into two every 20 minutes

Not like us, germs are not killed by low temperature, they are just dormant. They are normally killed in 1-2 minutes in boiling water, unless they are able to form spores.

Just like us there are good and bad germs

Good germs aid humanity…

Bad germs do damage

…Just like you and me, germs are God’s creation therefore they have a purpose for their being.
