AIM AND OBJECTIVES: The main objective of this projection is to analyse the various rules regarding the protection of environment in India and the role of court to apply those rules. SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS: Due to the vastness of this topic and the materials available, the scope of this project has been limited to the various provisions and articles in India. Further, the project only tries to analyse the role of the courts and judicial intervention not going much into legislation and not tries to touch the various other laws outside India. HYPOTHESIS The main research question is whether the provisions made by the legislation is enough for the protection of environment and the provisions made are applicable or in the day to day life. SOURCES OF DATA: The researcher has primarily used secondary sources of data like books, articles, seminar papers, unpublished essays and web sites in this project. SIGNIFICANCE OF STUDY: This project helped me to understand the various rights of person that includes right to clean and healthy environment.
