The Jupiter (Uranus) is Vitavia’s premium greenhouse, designed for use by the true enthusiast. The Jupiter (Uranus) is 2.57m (8’5”) wide and available in 4 sizes from 2.58m (8’6”) to 4.45m (14’7”) in length. With double doors that can be held in any desired position by the simple lever mechanism, the Jupiter (Uranus) has an impressive eaves’ height of 1.51m (4’11”), which affords increased headroom and working space. Two roof vents are included with the smallest model, whilst the others have four. Once again, standard gutters are fitted and additional strength is achieved by corner plates and braces throughout the building. All Jupiter (Uranus) models have been approved by the TÜV Standards Authority.

Like all VITAVIA greenhouses, the Jupiter (Uranus) is constructed from anodised aluminium, ensuring clean handling and a pristine finish. Frames are available in natural silver colour or powder-coated green, and come with fully illustrated Assembly Instructions.

TÜV International is recognized worldwide as a qualified product safety testing and quality certification organization. In order to obtain TÜV approval, products must meet TÜV’s high quality standards. In relation to greenhouses, this includes testing against wind and snow loading, quality and safety of construction and also the ease of assembly by reference to clear and uncomplicated Assembly Instructions.

Greenhouse base (optional accessory)

It is essential that every greenhouse is built on a firm and level base. Vitavia prefabricated steel bases are available as an accessory for all Vitavia models. Matching coloured bases are available for painted greenhouses. Using a Vitavia base will add an extra 12.5cm (5”) to the height of the greenhouse.

Greenhouse Accessories*

A wide range of useful and labour saving accessories are included in the Vitavia Range. Shelving and staging help make the most of the space within a greenhouse. Folding units are available, if you want to grow taller plants. Extra roof vents and louvre side windows are also available together with automatic openers that allow vents and louvre windows to open and close according to temperature and down pipes can be fitted for the collection of rainwater.

Controlling the greenhouse temperature

Vitavia offers a range of equipment for measuring the temperature and humidity of the air to enable the gardener to obtain optimum conditions for growing plants. (Cucumbers require a soil temperature of 18°c in order to absorb water and nutrients; for tomatoes it’s 16°c)

Glazing options**

Vitavia greenhouses are available with three glazing options :-

Horticultural Glass : the traditional glazing option Toughened, Safety Glass : no sharp edges; ideal when young children are around Twin - wall Polycarbonate : retains heat, diffuses sunlight and reduces the risk of scorch. Safe and virtually unbreakable.
