WHY GET JUNIPER CERTIFIED?

We are often asked…

“What value is there in being Juniper Networks certified?”

So we asked the certified community…

“What value have YOU realized from your Juniper certification?”

Over 7,000 Juniper certified engineers worldwide, from all

audiences, told us why they achieved Juniper certification.

Page 5: JUNIPER NETWORKS CERTIFICATION PROGRAMforums.juniper.net/jnet/attachments/jnet/Training_and_Certification...“What value is there in being Juniper Networks certified?” So we asked

CONSEQUENCES OF OUR SUCCESS

Issues:

Juniper skills in demand

Significant growth in Juniper certifications

Higher value driving increased demand

Resulting in increased efforts to shortcut exam process

Increased need to protect the value and reliability of the Juniper

Networks certification

Juniper response:

Comprehensive exam security program

View the Juniper Networks Exam Security Policies

Web site for detailed exam security policy descriptions

PROTECTING VALUE OF JUNIPER CERTIFICATION

Juniper Networks implemented comprehensive exam security policies and

procedures to:

Ensure the JNCIx brand is recognized as valid and relevant

A strong, well-implemented exam security program protects the validity and

reputation of the JNCIx brand in the marketplace

Increase the value of the JNCIx brand to the candidate and employer

Networking professionals seek a JNCIx certification if employers trust the

credential to be a valid assessment of skill

Employers seek JNCIx certified individuals

if they know JNCIx is not just a paper cert

These security policies are actively enforced

Closing testing centers suspected of complicity

Revoking individual exam results for those

who violate policies

Page 16: JUNIPER NETWORKS CERTIFICATION PROGRAMforums.juniper.net/jnet/attachments/jnet/Training_and_Certification...“What value is there in being Juniper Networks certified?” So we asked

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Review exam security policies and read the

Candidate Agreement

Avoid questionable exam preparation

materials

If you have prior exposure to the exam questions, your exam

results are, by definition, invalid

Does not require intent

Brain dump sites often have stolen exam content

Look for materials that help you learn versus shortcuts

Title Abstract

6PE

6PE allows Service Providers to provide new revenue-generating services to their

customers by offering native IPV6 connectivity without the need to upgrade the

provider (P) core routers and with no impact on existing IPv4 and MPLS services.

This Learning Byte is appropriate for intermediate users with a background in the

basics of IPv6, MPLS, and MPBGP in the Junos OS, or anyone looking to learn

about 6PE.

CLI Shortcuts The CLI Shortcuts Learning Byte covers Emacs key sequences and use of the top command in conjunction with show and set configuration commands to

assist in the configuration and navigation of the Junos CLI.

Introduction to Fibre

Channel and FCoE on the

QFX3500 Switch

The Introduction to Fibre Channel and FCoE on the QFX3500 Switch Learning

Byte provides a brief introduction to Fibre Channel (FC) and Fibre Chanel over

Ethernet (FCoE). We then, describe the FC interfaces on the QFX3500 Switch. A

demonstration is provided for configuring an FC interface on the QFX3500 Switch

using the Junos CLI.

IPv6 Basics The IPv6 Basics Learning Byte describes the IPv6 addressing scheme and

compares IPv6 to IPv4. A demonstration is provided to illustrate how an IPv6

address can be easily added to an interface using the Junos CLI.

Juniper Wireless LAN CLI

Basics

The Juniper Wireless LAN CLI Basics Learning Byte explains the three modes of

the Wireless LAN Controller used for setup, management, and configuration. It

also demonstrates the Login procedure and some of the basic commands used in

the Configuration Mode known as the Enable mode. This Learning Byte is

appropriate for beginning and intermediate users of the Juniper Wireless LAN

system or anyone looking to learn more about Wireless Controller CLI.
