A report on NIC’s Support during the South Asian Junior Table Tennis Championship, 2012 Shillong, India from 17th to 19th June
NIC, Meghalaya State Centre had been requested by Mr. R.G. A scoreboard software was developed overnight entitiled “e‐Score Board for Table Tennis Tournament”, It met all requirements given by the Secretary TTFI (Table Tennis Federation of India).
The services rendered by NIC had been well appreciated by the organisers, and in recognition NIC was widely publicised as the IT Support Partner for the event, its logo was incorporated in all the hoardings, displays, etc. which had been placed across the city. The scores which were entered through the e‐Score Board software were projected onto big TVs, the connections of which had also been provided by NIC, State Centre. During her brief visit to Shillong for the North East IT Ministers Consultative Meeting, Dr. Shefali Dash, DDG NIC also visited the venue, and met the Chairman and the Organising Committee where they expressed their appreciations for the efforts made by NIC in this regard. The entire tournament had been covered Live by DD Sports. As requested by the organisers a copy of the e‐Score Board software (compiled version) was presented to the President of TTFI so that they could use in their future tournaments.
