THE STILLROOMWomen as healers and care-givers for their families and communities pre-dates written history. From time immemorial, women were expected to give birth, nurture, heal, protect, provide for and spend their days steeped in the tradition of the wise women before them; caring for themselves and their families, and quite often, the entire community. The skills a woman brought to her marriage could very well determine whether or not that family would live in comfort, have enough to eat, stay well, and prosper.

Things we have come to accept as the comforts and necessities of life were placed entirely in the realm of womanly arts.

The women's art of healing reached it peak during the late middle ages till the early part of the last century, in the time of the Stillroom. The Stillroom was a room separate from the kitchen, but usually within close proximity, that contained a still. Unlike the large outdoor stills used for making

alcoholic beverages, the Stillroom still was a smaller, simpler version used to distill herbs to extract their essence for use in medication, cosmetics, salves, and many other household necessities.

The Stillroom was perhaps the most important room in a home; especially the more wealthy manor houses where the lady of the manor, with the help of the servants, may have had to administer healing to everyone living on or working for their land. In these times, the nearest doctor, if there was one, could be several miles away and accessed only by horse; or worse still, on foot, thus requiring a manor house and later a homestead to be self sufficient. The Stillroom, and the special women who worked there, were revered and valued for their knowledge and skill as they sustained the health and well-being of those in their care, often totally responsible for saving and prolonging their lives.

BUG PRO-TECH100% Pure, Certified Organic and Wildcrafted oils of Eucalyptus Citriodora, Tea Tree, and Grape Seed

This is a gentle but very effective insect repellent blend of Essential Oils with several seasons of successful use to its credit. Bug Pro-Tech is safe for those of all ages.

A naturally non-toxic, hypoallergenic base of Grape Seed Oil helps Bug Pro-Tech stay on the surface of the skin longer than water-based products that can evaporate quickly requiring more frequent re-application, or causing the repellent to become ineffective altogether.

DEET-Free

Many commercial insect repellents contain DEET, Picaridin, or IR3535, and are toxic. They’re also not recommended for small children or those with compromised immune systems. Natural repellents, on the other hand, are a much safer and more effective alternative. Bug Pro-Tech contains no added chemicals of any kind; just 100% pure, certified organic and wildcrafted Essential Oils. Protect yourself and your loved ones from insects, naturally and safely, with goDésana Bug Pro-Tech and After-Bite.

BUG PRO-TECHIngredient Highlights

• Eucalyptus Citriodora has a high citronella content, making it a fantastic natural insecticide. The scent is believed to confuse insects, making it difficult for them to find a host. In the likelihood of a bite, Eucalyptus Citriodora also doubles as an antiseptic.

• Tea Tree Oil has been found to be an effective insect repellent. It has a very strong and distinctive smell while containing terpenes that repel insects. Tea Tree Oil can also be helpful, as it is anti-fungal and antiseptic, if you are too late in applying as a natural repellent.

• Grape Seed Oil is an ideal carrier oil as Bug Pro-Tech is applied directly to the skin. It is very light, and absorbs quickly without leaving your skin feeling oily.

Suggested Usage

• Lightly spray areas of exposed skin and spread evenly with hands.

• Do not spray directly onto the face; spray on hands and rub on face, being careful not to get too close to the eyes or in the mouth.

• Repeat as needed every 3-4 hours or if you notice a mosquito landing on your skin.

• Can also be sprayed into the environment to repel insects while outdoors.

• For Pets: Spray lightly on hands and then apply to animal’s coat. Do not use on cats.

AFTER-BITE100% Pure, Certified Organic and Wildcrafted oils of Patchouli, Lavender, fine; Spruce, black; Neroli, Vetiver, Basil, sweet; and Fractionated Coconut

After-Bite Blend is designed for topical application to assist with itching and swelling that develops around the area of an insect bite.

DEET-Free

Many commercial insect repellents contain DEET, Picaridin, or IR3535, and are toxic. They’re also not recommended for small children or those with compromised immune systems. Natural repellents, on the other hand, are a much safer and more effective alternative. BURN CAREBurns can be caused by heat, fire, radiation, sunlight, electricity, chemicals, and hot or boiling water. There are three degrees of burns:

First-Degree: Skin is red and painful, slightly swollen, and the area turns white when you press on the skin. The skin over the burn may peel off after 1 or 2 days, and most first-degree burns usually heal in 3 to 6 days. If a first-degree burn involves much of the hands, feet, face, groin, buttocks, or a major joint, seek emergency medical attention.

Second-Degree: Skin is red or splotchy and quite painful, may be very swollen, and blisters are typically present. If the second-degree burn is no larger than 3 inches (7.6 centimeters) in diameter, treat it as a minor burn. If the burned area is larger or covers the hands, feet, face, groin, buttocks, or a major joint, treat it as a major burn and get medical help immediately.

Third-Degree: Skin is white or charred, and damage can affect all layers down to the bone. There may be little or no pain because nerves and tissue in the skin are damaged. In the event of a third-degree burn, seek immediate medical attention.

Suggested Usage

• Apply to affected areas as needed to soothe burned skin.

CLAY VITALITY CLEANSING MUDAdsorption vs. Absorption

The two words are similar but their differences are fundamental to understanding how clay minerals function and how clay works. Clays that have the ability to absorb and adsorb, like Clay Vitality, are called living or active clays because they are capable of changing and exchanging.

Adsorption describes the process by which the charged particles of other substances combine with the charged particles on the outer surface of the clay molecule. Think of it as a magnet, good attracting bad, holding it like a sponge and expelling it as the body normally expels toxins (sweating, breathing, bowel movements and urine). The positively charged ions are attracted to the stronger, negatively charged surfaces of the clay molecule. An exchange reaction occurs in which the clay mineral ions are swapped for the ions of the positive charged substance. The clay molecule is electrically satisfied and binds with the substances capturing them.

Absorption is a slower and more complex process. All absorbent clays have a charge on their inner layers. This means that charged ions sit between the layers of the clay molecule surrounded by water molecules. The expanded clay attracts foreign substances that are absorbed and fill the spaces between the clay molecule’s stacked layers. Absorbent clay will absorb positively charged ions and impurities and ignore negatively charged nutrients. Clay Vitality Cleansing Mud draws impurities and excess oils from the skin, leaving it refreshed and purified. Its gentle and effective cleansing abilities make it perfect for removing make-up, and its softening benefits make it an ideal shaving cream. You won’t find a smoother, finer, stronger, safer, all around more natural calcium bentonite/montmorillonite clay than Clay Vitality.

Reasonable Cautions

• Store at room temperature with lid securely tightened.

• As with all dietary supplements, when being treated for a medical condition, pregnant or nursing, consult with your health care provider before use.

LAVENDER ICE FOR KIDS & ELDERLY100% Pure, Certified Organic and Wildcrafted oils of Lavender, fine; and Peppermint

Headaches are a painful, recurring experience for many people. They may be caused by stress, eye strain, allergies, sinus congestion, hormone imbalances, and many other causes. Some are mild and just annoying while others are migraines, which for some people can be debilitating.

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (usually abbreviated to NSAIDs) are a class of drugs that provide analgesic (pain-killing) and antipyretic (fever-reducing) effects, and, in higher doses, anti-inflammatory effects.

At least one recent study has begun to examine a potential link between the usage of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and autism in children (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3673819/). Additionally, some physicians have concerns that ibuprofen and other NSAIDS can cause kidney damage.

Ingredient Highlights• Lavender, fine contains high amounts of linalyl acetate, offering anti-inflammatory and

sedative properties that make it idea for alleviating headaches. • Peppermint contains high amounts of menthol, which helps to relieve and ease tension

headaches as well as relieving aches and pains.

LAVENDER ICE FOR KIDS & ELDERLYReye’s Syndrome, a rare but potentially life-threatening condition, has been linked to aspirin usage in children and teenagers. Though approved for use in children over the age of 2, aspirin should not be given to adolescents recovering from chickenpox or flu-like symptoms.

Overuse of medications is itself a contributing factor to headache (rebound headache). Over time, painkillers and other medications may lose their effectiveness.

Most headaches aren’t serious, but seek prompt medical care if your child’s headaches wake your child from sleep, worsen or become more frequent, change your child’s personality, follow an injury such as a blow to the head, feature persistent vomiting or visual changes, or are accompanied by fever and neck pain or stiffness.

Whatever the cause, Lavender Ice For Kids & Elderly may bring the non-prescription, non-drug relief you seek for a headache. Gentler than regular Lavender Ice, this blend is more suitable for use with children over the age of four (4) years and the elderly.

Suggested Usage

• For headache, apply Lavender Ice For Kids & Elderly to the temples, forehead, and over the ear, following the hairline and across the back of the neck. Be careful not to get it too close to the eyes. This can be repeated as needed.

• Apply Lavender Ice For Kids & Elderly to areas of the body experiencing pain due to tight muscles, strains or sprains, or from blunt trauma such as slamming a finger in a door or stubbing a toe. Gently massage in; repeating as necessary.

ALEXANDRIA BRIGHTON | Personal Message

In the volatile and ever changing world of Essential Oil production, it's a challenging endeavor to source and maintain the highest quality standards.

As more and more companies enter the world of Essential Oil sales the demand for quality oil is far beyond what's currently available.

It's one thing to buy a high quality oil direct from the farmer who produced the oil, and quite another to get it from a supplier who got it from a supplier, who got it from another supplier, who got it

from the producing farm. Each time an Essential Oil is bought, sold, resold, and then resold again, there's a good chance that it may become adulterated or extended, as well as suffering an increase in the price with a decrease in the quality.

Many companies claim that they buy directly from the producers, not knowing that what is left is most likely not the quality they think they are getting.

With goDésana Essential Oils and Blends, you can purchase with confidence because every bottle has been sourced, formulated, and approved by me.

SELECTING ESSENTIAL OILSBoth in the news and in the marketplace over the past few years, awareness of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy has risen tremendously.

Some of the world's biggest retailers now advertise the use of Lavender in everything from air fresheners to laundry products. This marketplace acknowledgement has also generated products commonly referred to as "commercial" or "recreational" aromatherapy.

There are many different levels of Essential Oils available in the marketplace, with no real regulations. More often than not, products in today's marketplace contain Essential Oils derived not from plants, but from test tubes.

Or if they were derived from plant material originally, they're so diluted, extended, or adulterated that the marketable, end-result is anything but an all-natural Essential Oil.

With so many Essential Oil brands, companies, and offerings claiming to be the best, how do you discern if any really are, and if so, which ones?

Alexandria's Promise

Because of Alexandria's unwavering commitment to only the most therapeutic Essential Oils from across the globe, and her rigid criteria and standards, you can be guaranteed the following when purchasing goDésana Essential Oils and Blends:

• 100% pure therapeutic Essential Oils. No additives, extenders, or chemicals added.

• Extraction done in a manner that preserves the integrity of the organic, wild harvested plant life.

• No irradiation or GMO plant materials used for distillation or extraction.

• No sewage sludge used on any plants from which Essential Oils have been sourced.

• Cruelty-free oils; no animal testing or animal products used.

• No cross-contamination from allergens; peanuts, milk, tree nuts, wheat, soy, fish, eggs, or shellfish.

• Lot number and batch number on each bottle to document and assure authenticity.

Effective Botanical Species Usage

• Pure Essential Oils (Essential Singles) will state on the bottle that they are 100% Pure Essential Oil of and then the (botanical name). The botanical name on the label is a Latin word for each plant species. When sourcing and formulating Essential Oils and Essential Oil Blends it is imperative to know which species of a plant contains the needed therapeutic properties.

• For example, there are over 600 genus species for Helichrysum, however, goDésana's Helichrysum, sourced from Corsica, is by far the most beneficial and contains the highest Ke-tone quantity for cell regeneration.

• Nowhere is the knowledge of species type more evident than in the production of "Lavender". There are so many species of Lavender that it's become one of the most prostituted terms in the Essential Oil world.

• Each species has its own unique properties, aroma, and therapeutic benefits. For example, knowing whether you have Lavendula vera, Lavendula spica, Lavendula hybrida, Lavendula, fine. etc. can make all the difference in the end therapeutic result.

• Alexandria's selection of the best and highest quality oils coupled with her understanding of the differences in botanical species makes all the difference in goDésana Essential Oils.

SELECTING ESSENTIAL OILSProducing Organ Designation

• It is of vital importance that the producing organ of the plant and the chemotype (ct.) of the plant is identified. You want to insure that oil is sourced from the specific part of the plant that produces the most therapeutic oil and that there is clear indication of chemotype where warranted.

• For example, Cinnamon Oil can be sourced from the leaves, bark, or roots. Each has its own distinct properties.

• Another example is Essential Oil of Thyme. Many companies sell only one type of Thyme, and do not indicate the chemotype of the Thyme they're selling. There are several forms of Essential Oil of Thyme, each having its own distinctive therapeutic benefits and uses. Knowing the distinctions can keep you and your family safe and benefitting from this powerful Essential Oil.

• goDésana not only provides the specific plant species and chemoype, but we also help you understand what it means to you as well as how and why you would use each one.

Method of Distillation

• The method of extraction of Essential Oils is of vital importance in preserving the integrity of their therapeutic properties. The type of plant material from which oils are being extracted determines how the oil is best distilled for maximum therapeutic properties.

• For example, Essential Oils can be steam distilled, cold pressed, or in some rare occasions, water distilled. Alexandria understands which distilling method is best for each individual plant to achieve the maximum therapeutic properties.

• Having Alexandria Brighton, our Master Purveyor & Formulator, to sort through the extensive processes of sourcing and selecting only the very best Essential Oils from around the world sets the Alexandria Brighton Collection head and shoulders above any other company and any other brand.

SELECTING ESSENTIAL OILSFrequency Of The Essential Oils

The effectiveness of Essential Oils cannot be fully understood without discussing the "Frequency" or "Intentional Vibration" of the Essential Oils.

"Frequency" or "Intentional Vibration" is a measurable rate of electrical energy that is constant between any two points. Every living thing has a frequency, including our brain and our bodies. Electrical frequency is measured in hertz (Hz), kilohertz (kHz), and megahertz (MHz). The average frequency of a healthy human body is between 62 - 78 Hz.

"In every culture and in every medical tradition before ours, healing was accomplished by moving energy." ~ Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, Nobel Laureate in Medicine (1937).

For example:• Processed/canned foods have a zero MHz frequency• Fresh produce measured up to 15 MHz frequency• Dry herbs from 12-22 MHz• Fresh herbs from 20-27 MHz• Essential Oils started at 52 MHz and went as high as 320 MHz, which is the frequency of

pure Rose Essential Oil

Pure & therapeutic Essential Oils have the highest frequencies of natural substances known the man. When you add the "International Vibration" of our formulator Alexandria Brighton to the frequency equation, the result puts goDésana Essential Oils leaps and bounds above all other Essential Oils on the market.
