As Key Clubbers, we follow a program that brings all Key Clubs together in order to make an

international impact. This is called the Major Emphasis Program (MEP) and its motto is:

“Children: Their Future, Our Focus.” To fulfill the mission of the Major Emphasis, Key Club

International serves children in many ways. For example, we participate in a District Project

that is selected every other year and we fundraise for Key Club International’s three partner

organizations: Children’s Miracle Network, March of Dimes, and UNICEF.

Officer Training Conference (OTC)

Where: Manresa State Beach, Rio Del Mar, CA

When: Saturday, July 21, 2012

Time: TBA

What: This event is where the officers will get trained. There are other workshops here for

non-officers as well. OTC will be the July DCM and there is also a cost.

Contact: Rachel Tan ([email protected])

*Note: Although it’s called Officer Training Conference, this event is NOT

exclusively for officers only. General members are welcomed to come.

Gala Night

Hosted by American High School’s Key Club, this annual event was a night worth remembering. It was a

dinner banquet that was full of entertainment. Both Key Clubbers and non-Key Clubbers gathered together,

enjoying a night full of wonderful performances and a delicious meal.

Basket Boy Scavenger Hunt To start off the summer, Key Club hosted

a fundraiser where friends and family were able to bid on a volunteer. Those

with the highest bids were able to enjoy a lunch date with that special someone. However, this wasn’t just any ordinary

lunch date; both bidders and their “dates” competed against others in an exciting scavenger hunt to try and take

home the 1st place prize.
