COMMUNITY HEALTH INTERNSHIP PROGRAM JUNE 7 - JULY 30, 2021 Wisconsin AHEC’s CHIP enables college students who have an interest in community health, public health and population health to work full time (40 hours per week) over an 8-week period with local health departments, tribal health centers, community health centers and community service organizations throughout Wisconsin for an eight-week summer internship. INTERN BENEFITS Gain valuable public health knowledge, skills, and experience while providing host sites with the extra capacity needed to strengthen and extend their practice Gain an understanding and an appreciation of the broad range of public health activities undertaken at the local level Earn a stipend of $2,400 (subject to income tax) for their full-time commitment over the 8-week internship experience APPLICATION DEADLINE: SUNDAY, JANUARY 31, 2021 Learn more and apply: ahec.wisc.edu/chip CHIP ELIGIBILITY To be eligible for CHIP, students must: be a Wisconsin resident or student attending a college or university in Wisconsin be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident preferably have a GPA of 3.0 or higher preferably completed at least two-years of college coursework by June 2021 have an interest in community, public, or population health currently enrolled college student at the time of your CHIP application
