Ram Wrestling Camp
June 5-7, 2018 at Parowan High School
Who Should Attend
While wrestlers of all skill level are invited to attend this camp, ages will be limited to incoming 7th graders to 12th graders of the 2018-2019 school year. This camp will focus on the fundamentals of technique and drilling that is required to be a successful wrestler. Wrestlers of all skill level will have the opportunity to learn or improve in their technique and drilling skills.
Cost of Camp
$60.00 per wrestler (If not registered by the end of early-bird registration). Coaches and/or Parents are free to attend with the registration of their wrester(s). Early-bird registration is $50.00 per wrestler and will end on March 31, 2018. Registration must be completed no later than June 1, 2018.
Daily Schedule and Skills Addressed
Camp sessions will occur June 5th, 6th, and 7th as follows: June 5, 2018
• 1st Session: 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. - Fundamental of Set-Ups and Take-Downs by Kerry Anderson
• Two-hour break with games: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Snacks and drinks will be provided)
• 2nd Session: 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - Fundamentals of Top Position by Kerry Anderson
June 6, 2018 (Wrestlers will be split into two groups this day and will attend each part of the clinic in the 1st or 2nd Session depending on their group)
• 1st Session: 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. - Fundamentals of Bottom Position by Kerry Anderson or Being Mentally Tough by Leon Durbin
• Two-hour break with games: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Snacks and drinks will be provided)
• 2nd Session: 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - Fundamentals of Bottom Position by Kerry Anderson or Being Mentally Tough by Leon Durbin

• Two-hour break with games: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Snacks and drinks will be provided)
• 2nd Session: 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - Drilling Top and Bottom Position with Intensity by Leon Durbin
Lodging and Meals
Lodging and meals are not included with the registration fee for this camp. Attendees may want to find lodging in Parowan, UT or in Cedar City, UT (20 min from Parowan).

How to Register To register, please go to the Parowan High School’s website at http://phs.ironk12.org/. On the right hand side of the main page under “Announcements” select “2018 Ram Wrestling Camp” and you will be led to the registration page. Please complete the registration page as directed. Registration must be completed no later than June 1, 2018. Camp Check-In Check-in for Ram Wrestling Camp will be from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on June 5, 2017. Camp Questions If you have any additional questions please contact Wyatt Robison at: [email protected] or call 1-(435)-477-3366 Intermountain Sports Medicine An athletic trainer will be provided by Intermountain Sports Medicine and will be present at all sessions of Ram Wrestling Camp. In 2017, Intermountain Sports Medicine signed a three-year contract to provide the athletic training program and a certified athletic trainer for all SUU athletic and team events. In 2014, the Iron County School District selected Intermountain Sports Medicine to provide an athletic trainer at each high school in Iron County: Cedar High School, Canyon View High School, and Parowan High School. In 2017, the Iron County School District was awarded the Safe School award by the National Athletic Training Association, for the highest standards of athlete safety in their school district, the first school district in all of Utah to receive this distinction.
