PRIME TIME TOMORROW, 12 Noon in the Community Room Prime Time will end the year with a picnic lunch. Meat, rolls, and condiments will be provided. Penfield Historian Kathy Kanauer will speak on the early history of Penfield, including founder Daniel Penfield, a successful businessman who recognized the power of Irondequoit Creek and what it would mean to a developing town. Please sign up at the Information Center to provide either a side dish, salad, or dessert to pass. The PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY will meet tomorrow night, 7pm at church in Room 204. All are welcome. MEN’S BIBLE STUDY Join us as we continue studying the book of 1 st Thessalonians. Our hour- long meetings will take place this Thursday, June 7, and Thursday, June 21, starting at 6:45 p.m. in the Community Room. MISSION BOARD SCHOLARSHIPS The Mission Board will be awarding two scholarships of $1500 each this year to eligible Faith college students. Education Hour – 9:45-10:40 a.m. SUNDAY SCHOOL Students use the Hands On Curriculum and are learning about the New Testament. 3-year-olds & 4-year-olds Room 102 Kindergarten Room 104 Students in grades 1-6 today start a two-week rotation on Daniel and the Lion’s Den. Check the Sunday School bulletin board by the copy room for room assignments. Grades 1-6 Rooms vary by rotation week FAITH LUTHERAN YOUTH (FLY) Jr. FLY “Jesus and Mean People” Room 204 Sr. FLY “Jesus and Tough Times” Room 201 ADULTS There are two Sundays left studying Organic Outreach--today and next Sunday, June 10. The focus for both is “Sharing Good News”. All adults are invited to join Pastor Ben as he leads the last two lessons in Organic Outreach in the Auditorium. SUMMER ADULT BIBLE CLASS Starting June 17 and going throughout the summer The History of Christianity Through the Centuries Pastor Ben and Lyle will be team teaching this class which will begin with the “Early Church” (in the first century) and move on to the 21st century. This class will meet in the Auditorium from 9:45-10:40 each Sunday morning. We’ll discuss and study the false teachings that arose in the various time periods, the significant events and people, and where Christianity was growing. We’ll also see how world events were impacting what was happening in the Church. And finally, we’ll also discuss how all of these things still have importance for us and for the Christian Church today. While the sessions will be designed to be “independent” from each other (so that you can miss a week or two and still understand what’s being talked about), it will be a class that you won’t want to miss.

Faith Lutheran Youth (FLY) Thank you... To all of the youth and young adults who went on the Wilderness Retreat last weekend! Many thanks to Randy, Cris, and Mari-Beth for chaperoning the event! TODAY—2019 National Youth Gathering (NYG) Info Meeting Youth and adults are invited to this meeting TODAY (with lunch) in the Auditorium at noon to learn about the Gathering which will take place in Minneapolis next year. NYG is open to youth currently in 7th grade through 20-year-olds. Youth and adult applications will be distributed and explained, along with other details of the trip. NEXT SUNDAY—Sunday Night FLY Finale/Mystery Night—7-9pm Bring your friends and get ready for an EPIC end-of-the-year MYSTERY NIGHT! Come discover the huge mystery! High School Senior Sunday – June 17 All high school seniors are invited to attend either worship service (8:30 or 10:45) to be recognized and congratulated! The Youth Advisors will present each senior with a new self-study Bible during the services. The congregation will also pray for the seniors as they embark on a new journey! FLY Sunday School Breakfast – June 17 Jr. & Sr. FLY will celebrate the end of the school year with a yummy breakfast in the FLY Room at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 17. WORSHIP SERVICES Sunday worship services are streamed live and commercial-free to any computer or mobile device. FOR MOTHERS OF LITTLE ONES If you are in need of a private, comfortable place to feed your baby while at Faith, we have a room designated especially for you. The Nursing Lounge in the coat hallway has a rocking chair and couch, with an adjoining private bathroom for mothers who need a quiet moment on Sunday mornings. STEPHEN MINISTRY Faith is a Stephen Minister congregation, and is blessed with many specially-trained, caring people available to listen and provide confidential, one-on-one care and counseling for anyone going through tough times. ALTAR FLOWERS Sponsoring a weekly flower arrangement is a wonderful way to remember or honor someone or to celebrate an event. There is a flower calendar across from the church office (on the middle bulletin board) on which you may select your Sunday. Note your name for that date, take and complete an Altar Flowers Request Form, and return it to Carol Keeler. A minimum payment of $30 is requested toward the total cost of $65 for each arrangement of fresh flowers delivered weekly from Arena’s Florist. FAITH FOOD PANTRY & PAPER GOODS COLLECTION Donations of non-perishable food and paper goods (paper towels, toilet paper) are given to the Penfield Food Shelf. Items such as pasta, tuna, soup, canned fruits and vegetables, and other nutritional foods may be left at any time in the grey bin inside the main entrance doors.
