I invite all parishioners to extend a warm and loving

living in our Early Learning Center on the third floor.

Fr. Mark grew up in Lockport and attended St. Dennis

School. I know he is excited and happy to join us and to

be part of our parish life. I’m sure Fr. Mark would love to

share a meal with you. Please invite him to your home, so he might get to

know you. We look forward to Fr. Mark celebrating Mass with us and be-

ST. DENNIS FUNDRAISER SUCCESS CONTINUES Now Gas/Electric bills may be paid through Ambit.

Thank you friends of St. Dennis who are participating in our Natural Gas & Electric Fundraising Program through Ambit Energy. Households have seen the savings on monthly statements. St. Dennis is receiving monthly donations averaging over $400 now with 250 service enrollments from Ambit which will continue to grow. TOTUS TUUS: Four teams of four (two young men and two young women) will be traveling throughout the Diocese of Joliet this summer teaching children (grades 1-12) at 24 different parishes. The focus of their catechesis this summer will be on the Creed and the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary. If you would like an inspirational gift for a birth-day, anniversary, baptism or wedding or just to say “I love you….”, please call anytime and we would be happy to help you. Do you have old rosaries, chaplets, beads or Holy Medals? The

beads are used to make rosaries for those beginning their jour-ney to wholeness through healing prayer, as well as to encour-age people to pray the rosary. Holy medals are also repurposed and will provide another avenue of prayer. This weekend during Mass you will be asked to complete a pew card to join the Illinois Catholic Advocacy Network (I-CAN). Cardinal George and other bishops are conducting a Fortnight to Freedom for June 21- July 4 to fight government regulations which influence our religious freedoms. You are invited to raise your voice to protect religious freedom! Lay Catholics need to become more engaged with state and fed-eral policies that affect the Church and her mission. The loss of state foster care and adoption contracts for Catholic Charities and the federal HHS mandate forcing insurance coverage of abortion-inducing drugs, contraceptives and sterilizations high-light the need for Catholics to be informed about the Church’s role in the public square. I-CAN allows the laity to sign up for occasional email updates from CCI. Catholic conferences in other states are developing similar networks. Prayer Doll Workshop Wednesday, July 18 6:30pm – 9pm in Fracaro Hall

Sr. Joanne invites you to come and join us in making prayer dolls for children in Haiti! Mary Bell will be present to instruct us in making these dolls of cloth and yarn (no sewing neces-sary!) Join us in this work that unites neighbor with neighbor and neighbor with God! The Sisters of St. Joseph are sponsoring 100 girls to attend a school in Haiti with which they have an affiliation. Some of the Sisters are making 100 dresses to be sent. Sr. Joanne has promised 100 dolls to accompany the dresses. 100 school uniforms are being purchased through the donations of another of the Sisters’ sources. It is hoped that we will have enough volunteers who will be able to create the total of 100 prayer dolls to be put in the pockets of the dresses and be ready to be shipped by early September.
