Dear Friends, Happy Father’s Day to our Fathers and Grandfathers! The blessings of close relationships is the best hope I can have for you who serve this role for so many of us. Thank you to all who have served so well; hope for healing and reunion for those who have wanted to do better. Deacon Dan and I are grateful to the many of you who have given us positive feedback on the preaching series about Catholic Evangelization. I have found it challenging and fun to work with Deacon Dan this way. It has also helped me grow in my understanding about Catholic Evangelization. Some-one told me recently that she was one of those who didn’t want to hear about the topic in the past, but the preaching series has changed her mind. Hooray! That’s one……. You may have noticed that the large tree near the semicircular drive next to the Church has been cut down. I had mentioned that this was coming, as the tree had been hit by lightning, and it had to be removed for the porte-cochere. The roadway under the porte-cochere will also be removed, and a new one built. Steel has arrived for the Gymnasium. Work on the Pre School is advancing. The Parish Finance Committee accepted the budget for 2015-16. New to the budget this year will be a note to the diocese for construction. Once we have used all of the cash money collected thus far for the capital construction, we will begin utilizing a loan for the diocese to finish the construction. I would ask that those of you who are finished with your pledged giving or nearly finished, please consider continuing giving to the Campaign effort. You see the results are worthwhile. The later we have the need to use the loan, the less of the loan we will need, which means lower debt. Thank you for considering. Thanks to all who worked so incredibly hard for VBS this year. So much energy, creativity, and love went into these five days. A wonderful ministry which blessed so many young folks. Thank you. Congratulations to the retiring Grand Knight Mr. Floyd Sones who completes his second term of service this month. New officers will be installed this weekend. Please continue to pray for Fr. Phil Spano and
