Online National Webinar on “Nanotechnology and Medical Science”

was organized by Zoology Department of Career Point University

Hamirpur on 4th June 2020. Padma Shri Dr. D S Rana, the Chairman

Ganga Ram Hospital New Delhi graced the occasion with his presence

and also talked about prevention of Covid 19. Dr V K Mettu from

Zoology Department Himachal Pradesh also told the participants how to

prevent themselves from Corona Virus. Dr P K Shrivastav, the Former

Director of CDRI though beautiful cartoons showed that how

Nanotechnology can play important role in Medical Science. More than

3oo participants were presented in this webinar. Administration of Career

Point University Hamirpur congratulated Dr Rajesh, HOD of Zoology

Department to organize this webinar successfully.

Online Career Counseling was organized by Pharmacy

Department on 7th June 2020 for 10+2 Medical and Non-

Medical Students through Go to Meeting App. More than 150

participants with International Industry Expert discussed the

opportunities in Pharmacy Course. Shri Aswani Mahajan,

Global Manager in Mondelez International Company and Dr.

Attin Kaalra talked about job opportunities in Pharmacy in

Govt and Semi Govt. Departments of National and

International Level. Dr Jitender Singh, Dean of Pharmacy

talked about various courses of Pharmacy in Career Point

University Hamirpur.

Future of Drug Production was organized on 8th June by

Chemistry Department, Career Point University Hamirpur.

Mr Amit Kumar, Senior Executive Production, Abbott

Pharmaceutical and the Main Speaker of this webinar talked

about Pharmaceutical Industry like Pharma Processing &

Manufacturing, Quality Control and Quality Assurance. More

than 100 participants were participated in this webinar. Dr

Kuldeep Kumar, HOD of Chemistry Department talked about

various courses of Chemistry in Career Point University

Management Department, Career Point University

Hamirpur

Ms Mona Kapoor, Ph. D Research Scholar of Management

Department, Career Point University Hamirpur got First

Position in Top Ten Famous Women of Chandigarh on the

occasion of International Woman Day. She received this

honour as the successful and self dependent business woman.

She is giving her services to the students of Commerce from

last 20 years. She published more than 25 research papers in

area of Mathematics and Economics in various reputed

Magazines. Administration of Career Point University

Online Career Counseling on ‘Integrated Microbial-phyto Power

Systems – A Sustainable Approach for Waste Water Treatment

and Energy Generation Using Plants’ by Botany Department was

organized on 12th June by Botany Department, Career Point

University Hamirpur. Dr. Lakhveer Singh Post-Doctoral from

Oregon State University, Corvallis, USA and Dr. Sveta Thakur,

Research Associate (Post –Doctoral Researcher at University

Malaysia Pahan, Malaysia were the main speakers of the

webinar. They talked about Integrated Microbial-phyto Power

Systems – A Sustainable Approach for Waste Water Treatment

and Energy Generation Using Plants. More than 200 participants

were participated in this webinar. Dr Arti, HOD of Botany

Department talked about various courses of Botany in Career

Point University Hamirpur.

Online Career Counseling Webinar Organized by Computer

Science Department and Law Department of Career Point

University Hamirpur

Online Career Counseling Webinar was organized on 15th June

by Computer Science Department and Law Department of

Career Point University Hamirpur. Mr Rajat Sharma,

Technologist Analyst, Department of Security in Multinational

Company Infosys Chandigarh talked with Computer Science

Engineering participants in this webinar. Ms Tamanna Kaushik,

the Youngest Law Officer in State Electricity Board Rajasthan

and Dr Anjay Sharma from Delhi University solved the queries

of law participants through this career counseling. More than

1000 participants were participated and 1500 students were

connected through face book in this webinar. Administration of

Career Point University Hamirpur congratulated the faculties of

Computer Science and Law Department for organizing this

successful webinar.

Seed Distribution by UBA and Community Development Cell

UBA and Community Development Cell of CPUH under

Agriculture Science Center Hamirpur at Bara, H.P distributed

Hybrid Seeds of Grain (Dhaan) and Whole Black Lentils (Maah)

to the adopted villages on 22nd June 2020. The University made

new identity to develop Hybrid Climate Customized Seed Bank

for providing good quality seeds to the farmers. UBA Cell also

distributed Lemon Grass to the adopted villages for making

strong immunity during this pandemic. Dr Shashi Poonam, the

Coordinator of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan also talked about the

Online Campaign of ‘My Village: Self Dependent Village’ in the

surrounding villages of Career Point University, Hamirpur.

CSIR Summer Research Training Program

Ms Anuranjan Sharma, Sourabh Thakur and Nancy Pathania , the students of Chemistry Department

of Career Point University Hamirpur were selected in Govt. of India CSIR Summer Research Training

Program. These students will be getting opportunities to work with the Scientists of various Research

Centers of Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, New Delhi , Kolkata, Jaipur and others in India.

Administration of Career Point University, Hamirpur congratulated the students and the faculties for

getting this achievement.

(RND) from Dr Reddy Laboratory Limited were the main speakers from Chemistry Department, Dr

Sourabh Sharma, Consultant Ministry of Ayush Bharat Sarkar was the main speaker from Botany

Department , Er. Sahil Dadhbal City Operation Head NCH Gurugram and Dr Sourabh Congo

Assistant Professor NIT Jalandhar were the main speaker from Mechanical Department and Shri

Hitesh Lakhanpal HPS was the main speaker from Language, Art & Culture Department on these

Online Career Counseling Webinars. All the HODs, Dr Kuldeep Kumar from Chemistry Department,

Dr Arti from Botany Department, Er. Rahul Jambal Mechanical Department and Dr Sourabh Kumar

from Language, Art & Culture Department talked about the various career opportunities in the

particular streams.
