Mrs. von Hollen is collecting used school supplies for less fortunate students in Mexico. At the end of
the school year, if you would like to donate any of your child's supplies, please send a note stating suchin your child's agenda to your child's teacher. This includes broken crayons, used pencils, and notebooks
with some pages written on. The items will then be gathered and Mr. Alfred von Hollen will transport
them to a school in Mexico. Thank you in advance for your support.
Thank you to Adam Nichols for his generous donation to Lochearns Guitar Club.
Another school year has come and gone and what a great school year it was! We are proud of the many
accomplishments and successes of our students and staff throughout the year. Our students have been successfulthrough academic achievement as well as through extra-curricular involvement and leadership activities. These
activities have included intra-mural sports, leadership team, choir, guitar club, games club, recycling, milkprogram and peer support. A big thank you goes out to all of our staff for making this school year a wonderful
success!
We look forward to seeing all of our students in the fall to continue our learning journey together; however, our
current grade five students will be going to Pioneer and we have to say good-bye to them. We wish them well
with all of their future successes.
Each year we experience changes to our staff and this year is no exception. We will be saying farewell to Ms.
Henderson, Mrs. Carbino, Miss Klassen, Mrs. Maslankowski and Mrs. Wedman. We will remember all of theircontributions to Lochearn.
As you get ready for the summer, whether you are traveling, relaxing with friends and family and perhaps even
learning new things, remember to have a safe and enjoyable time. See you on September 4th, 2012!
