Summer is made for kidsSummer is a wonderful time to explore new things and expand learning

through a variety of activities. The days stretch out in front of each child,

waiting to be filled with adventure, good friends, and just plain fun.

Our summer camps provide each child with the opportunity to fill his

or her summer days with diverse experiences and activities. Creative

play, fun-packed field trips, arts & crafts, academic review, sports,

picnics, bike days, and water play days will provide all students with a

memorable summer.

Morning Academic Adventures & Afternoon Elective ProgramDuring Morning Academic Adventures, campers are grouped together

according to the grade they completed during the 2015-2016 school

year. The course of study includes a review of language arts and

mathematics, as well as reading and literature. Afternoons at Camp Tiki

are designed to give your child the opportunity to explore new horizons

or expand on current interests. Elective choices change weekly and

cover a wide variety of interests including sports, music, creative play,

dancing, and cooking classes. Additionally, campers enjoy weekly, recurring

theme days such as bike days, water play, jump houses, and ice cream

truck visits. These activities make the summer fly by!

Weekly ThemesDuring our summer camps, we will have weekly themes for the

children to experience. The theme of the week will correlate to the

various art and craft projects, guest speakers, and field trips that are

planned. Please see our calendar for our weekly themes!

Assemblies and Exciting EventsAssemblies & exciting weekly events will provide a fun-filled learning

experience for each child at Camp Tiki. Campers will enjoy presentations

on reptiles, take part in an interactive puppet show, and actively

participate in fun all summer long. Teachers and staff will work with

the children, demonstrating new techniques and skills to help make

the summer more enjoyable & interesting. Our scheduled activities

and events are a sure way to spark laughter and amazement from all

who join us for the summer. Some of the activities planned include:

Our workshop will explore unique and different science experiments daily. Mad Science entertains with inter-active, hands-on fun; a take-home project is included daily. We’ll cover the following topics: Decomposers, Bugs, All about ani-mals, Science of toys, Movie effects, Poly-mers & Optical Illusions! Space is limited to 20 students per session

Fancy Nancy(grades JrK-K)JUNE 20-24M-F: 1:30-2:30; $40Ooh la la…feather boas, tutus, pearls and tiaras! Fancy Nancy invites you to attend a week long soiree, encouraging creativity and confidence in delightful ways. We’ll learn some French words, etiquette lessons, tea parties, and daily crafts. It will be tres, tres exciting, darling!

Digital Storytelling(grades 3 & 4)JUNE 20-24M-F: 1:30-3:00; $50.00Working in small groups, you’ll create your own digital story. Campers can bring an action figure, stuffed animal, or LEGO in-spired character from home to star in their feature, making their stories come to life as their imagination and creativity capture and create a Photo story. Working together, campers will use technology to tell their one-of-a-kind story.

American Girl Doll Camp(grades 2-4)JUNE 27-JULY 1 M-F: 1:30-2:30; $50Which American Girl doll is your favorite? This is a fun filled week just for you, and your favorite doll, of course! Enjoy both contemporary and historical stories about American Girls, create crafts for your doll, and help us celebrate being a girl!

Aprons and Appetizers(grades JrK-1) JUNE 27- JULY 1 M-F: 1:30-2:30; $75 We’ll prepare a variety of delicious appe-tizers and snacks, decorate our own aprons and make a recipe book to take home at the end of the week. Finger sandwiches, dips, and desserts will be on the menu, using fresh and wholesome ingredients.

Let’s Take a Selfie(grades 2nd-4th)JULY 5-8 (NO CLASS JULY 4TH)T-F : 1:30-2:30PM; 1 WEEK $40.00Did you know, the first known selfie was taken in 1839? Through the ages, artists have used self portraitures to explore their thoughts and feelings. During the week, we’ll use different mediums (paint, prints, collages and photos) to create your own Selfie Book to take home.

Spy Kids(grades Jr.K-1)JULY 5-8 (NO CLASS JULY 4)T-F: 1:30-2:30; 1 WEEK $40Do you have what it takes to be a super spy? Inspector Gadget is about to show you how! Learn how to use disguises, and utilize secret codes to pass on messages to solve camp mysteries. This message will self-de-struct unless you accept this mission!

Enchanted Faerie Camp(grades JrK-K)JULY 11-15M-F: 1:30-2:30; $40Imagine an enchanted week filled with mag-ical adventures as we discover the world of fairies. Visit Pixie Hollow and create fanciful arts and crafts, jewelry and fairy houses. When it’s magic you trust, all you need is pixie dust!!

Perler Bead Party(grades 1-4)JULY 11-15 M-F: 1:30-2:30; 1 WEEK $50.00Come follow patterns and create your own designs for iron beads. Fill up large peg boards with your favorite characters, bead a rainbow gecko, create Minecraft figures, or an enchanted castle. Anything is possible with a container of Perler beads!

Star Wars(grades JrK-K)JULY 18-22M-F: 1:30-2:30; 1 WEEK $50.00Storm Troopers, grab your light saber and join us in a galaxy far, far away. You will be trained in the ways of the force as we explore planets, and meet some interesting characters. Star Wars will be brought to life through books, art and our imagination in a camp that is out of this world!
