N OTES o Do you know of someone who would appreciate home or area care facility visits from our Lay Ministry Committee? We also have copies of our worship services and sermons available to send to their home if they are interested. Please contact our church office. o Pastoral Search Process Update: The Advisory Board continues to make preparations for the pastoral search process, including developing a timeline of events and gathering input from the congregation to help develop our church profile. The Profile is the document that describes our church to potential applicants, much like our resume. It gives a snapshot of the church membership demographics, and also describes our strengths, weaknesses, and our vision for our ministry moving forward. In order to include input from as many members as possible, the Board will be holding several gatherings in the coming months where you are invited to share, discuss, reflect, dream, and articulate our church’s vision for the future. There will be a special meeting after Church on June 26 in Allerton Hall to kick off the search process for a new settled pastor. A light lunch will be served. We hope that everyone can make it. o Search Committee Appointments: The Search Committee will be an Ad Hoc team appointed by the Advisory Board, and will be expected to be available to meet weekly or as needed beginning in September. To give the team time to get acquainted and ready to work, the Advisory Board intends to appoint the members of the committee at its June 28 meeting. If you are interested in being considered to serve, please make yourself known to a member of the Advisory Board before June 20. o If you are being admitted to Jordan Hospital and wish a visit from our Pastor, please contact our church office. Also, upon registering at the hospital please designate your religious affiliation as “The Church of the Pilgrimage.” o One of our ongoing efforts is to collect nonperishable food products for the Plymouth Area Food Warehouse. In particular, they need cereal, pasta and sauce, canned fruit, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, peanut butter, and jelly. There is a large basket at the bottom of the right staircase in the lower vestibule of the church. We urge you to bring your donations to that basket any time. Thank you for your generous contributions. o Today we will be receiving the “Strengthen the Church” offering. Please make checks payable to the Church of the Pilgrimage and write Strengthen the Church on the memo line. Thank you.
